I walked into the house and found Caz and the brides maids watching Mum and Dad's wedding video. Mum was sitting on the couch next to Nana, narrating who was who and made a point of who she thought was worst dress and who was best dress.
"Hey, where have you been?" Sarah asked from the bean bag. They all turned around and looked at me curiously.
"Sorry, I had to pack stuff away and then pick the rings up from Ethan's. What are you watching?" I asked quietly as I sat on the bean bag across from Sarah.
"Just my wedding day. Oh, it was the best day of my life and now Carol is getting married tomorrow at the same church, I couldn't wish for anything better." Mum said.
"Well then...who wants a cuppa?" I said as everyone went silent. I think they thought I was mad about Mums comments as they had become very quiet and sat staring at me.
"Why don't all you girls take the motor bikes to the lookout?" Nana said quietly from her rocking chair. Nana Rose was my Mum's, Mother. She was such a great laugh to be around and she was always nice to me. This one time my Dad had slapped me across the face for not closing the gate properly, which then resulted in Caz running out on to the road and nearly getting run over. I had never seen Nana mad or angry like that before, she had grabbed my Father and pushed him up against the wall while holding a knife to his throat. She said to him, that if he ever lay a hand on me again she would slit his throat and feed him to her dogs. I was only 8 at the time but my Nana loves to tell the story to everyone. My Father and Nana have never seen eye to eye but when it comes to me it gets worse.
"Yeah! You girls go and take a bottle of champagne with you." Mum chripped while she stood and glidded into the kitchen. I looked over at Caz for confirmation that she wanted to go, she just nodded her head and made her way out the door.
We had arrived at the lookout and the moon sparkled as its light bounced off of the sea and shone in our direction. Caz, Sarah, Georgia, Emily and I sat watching the rise and fall of the waves as they crashed back down onto the rocks. It created a calming feeling and we found ourselves sitting in peace while sipping on the bottle of champagne Mum gave us.
"Do you think I'll be a good wife?" Caz said breaking the silence. I thought over this for a few minutes. Caz was funny, loving, caring and motherly, she had all the bearings to be the perfect wife.
"Yeah. You're going to be the best wife!" Enily said while smiling at her.
"Pimples, fat ankles and all." Georgia joked. We erupted into laughter, smiling and grinning like we were pregnant or something.
"I've been dreaming about this day since, gods knows when and now that its so close I feel like I've had everything handed to me on a plate. I feel so blessed that I have friends like you guys," Caz said looking at Sarah, Emily and Georgia. "And Cameron, to have an older sister who has my back and who loves me even though I'm the spoilt one, I couldn't ask for anything more. You deserve all the happiness in the world and I promise that Daniel's hot single cousins are going to be there."
I started to cry. What. The. FUCK. This was so new for me. I never cried, it was so weird to me and now I had cried twice in one day. This is a whole new me and I don't like it at all. I don't like it one bit.
"Are you crying?" Sarah asked while looking at me incredulously.
"No! There was something in my eye." I said lamely.
"You were crying!" Georgia shouted while rolling on the ground laughing.
"Shut up!" I shouted as they all joined in with Georgia. "Now, lets make a toast, to happiness forever!"
"Happiness forever!" We shouted together.
