Though they weren't sure how to get ready for the event, Torga helped them all with straightening their fur and to help them pick appropriate attire. The males went with a bowtie with the Night Kingdom's colors and the girls went with flower crowns of the Night Kingdom's color scheme. Of course Dark went in her royal robe and socks, they were cleaned well and Torga seemed to enjoy how the colors seemed to match her eyes well.

"I'm not sure I understand why this competition has to happen Miss Torga, I do not love any of the Princes." Dark said as Torga helped her put her back socks on, "It's not like I can't choose to wait right?" "Well it depends Dear, and please, call me just Torga Dear-heart." "Yes, I'm sorry... I'm not good at this royal thing." "It's alright Dear, I understand how it can be difficult to take on this responsibility, but you need to know this, I'm your Royal Advisor and Royal Witch. It is my job to help you for your whole life, and that means I will help you now. If you need advice or me to help with anything, I will do so as you wish."

Dark felt better, but she was still worried that she would be forced to choose someone she didn't love and she didn't even know if she did love someone. But she had no time to dwell on what was to come as Torga reassured her by reminding her what happened when that dragon had tried to force her against her will.

They came down the stairs as the rest sat in the living room, ready for the event that would take place after lunch. They left out the building, heading towards the market for some food as the competition would take several hours to complete.

They walked along, making it to the colosseum and everyone got to their seats and waited for the Princes to appear on the ground level. Dark sat above them in the royal seating area, though she wished to sit with her moma and sister, it seemed she didn't have much say in the matter. So she sat with Torga beside her, waiting for the Kings to get done with their prep-talks they were giving their sons.

They came and sat in their seats, the Sun King was very sure of his son as all the Kings were sure they're son would win her over. Dark said nothing as the Princes were brought out by guardsmen. The crowds sitting in the stands cheered so excitedly as the competition began.

~Three hours later~

The crowds cheered as the Princes stood in their armor, kinda beaten but could all still stand. The Sun King looked at her, "So, whom do you like so far Princess?" She looked out at the Princes, she wasn't sure, none of them were what she was looking for.

But before she could answer, she looked up at the forest across the river the colosseum was near. Her eyes widened...

A great fire, smoke filled the air above it, she gasped, "The forest is on fire-"
