The group had enjoyed several days of calmness and joy, with Torga giving only one final warning to the brat and her father over their behavior towards the royal one and her family. They, of course, were unchanging, and didn't care of her heritage, she was still a grey coat, and that was that.
Other than wanting to learn more about her past, Dark was wondering something about her past. She couldn't exactly remember anything to tell her what her past was like. All she could remember was her current home and family, all she knew was the good life they had given her.
As she sat thinking on the questions she'd soon need to ask Torga about, she heard a roar in the distance, it struck her mind like a brick wall. She could remember something, and it was terrible.
Torga became alert, the roar was a threat, and it was coming soon. Quickly she had everyone start to evaluate the village, gathering guards who dared to fight the threat to come. She didn't explain much to Dark over what was happening, but somehow, Dark knew what was coming.
She rushed, carrying the pup in her jaws to her home, she was expecting to see her parents, but nobody was there. She stopped, walking in slowly, aware she could be ambushed or attacked. As she came into the house, her instincts went on high alert, her paws ready to bolt her away, her eyes and ears, taking in any information to help her.
She turned and looked back out the door, something just wasn't right, she booked it to the door but the door slammed shut. "Hello, your Majesty." She turned and bolted to the kitchen window, jumping out of it as a huge lion rushed after her. It's fur, black, it's mane, large, and body, painted with blood red battle paint... to make him look like a tiger.
(Raven's artwork, I take no credit for it's magnificence)
She rushed, through the crowd as he followed behind, she couldn't get him from her tail so she made a sharp U-turn, booking it past him as his big body couldn't turn as fast as her's. She rushed, darting through the crowd who just now saw the monster following her. They rang the large, secondary bell at the chapel, letting the guards know there was an attacker within the lands.
She saw Torga, and rushed to her as the lion slid to a stop, as if he knew he couldn't fight her alone. Torga sent out a purple and blue beacon from her staff, within seconds Dark's friends and family came to defend her. Argon landed, standing over Dark to prevent her from being attacked from above, Bonnie stood at the left of him, Raven to the right, and Night at the back with Moonclaw.
Ectoplasm stood at the front, they were growling, showing they weren't afraid of him, but he simply chuckled at their attempt to scare him away, "Aw come now. I didn't really scare you that much did I?"
Ectoplasm put a foot down, "You are not welcome here. Leave now, or parish." He was wearing his guard armor, so was Moonclaw and Argon was wearing his black chest plate. The lion laughed, "I should leave? Who's the one wearing armor to protect their precious little 'Queen'?"
He chuckled, shaking his head, walking around the group, "No, I'm not afraid of your weakness. I actually find it amusing. I come as a messenger, He will come to kill, he will come to rule!" He paused and looked at them, then to Dark, "And destroy the lands of the Direwolves, and make way for a new Era!"
"The Era of the Tigers. And you're uninvited." He let out a roar, making them all flinch, Dark and the pup were even more scared than those around them. She looked at him, a memory flashed in her head, she could remember him... Killing her father, with blood on his lips and an evil smile to match.
He turned and left towards the location of the great roar, leaving one more evil smile ingrained in her head before he disappeared into the forest.
Torga looked at them, her eyes filled with a worried fear, she looked at Dark, "We must get you home. To the Night lands, before it's too late." She ordered the group to move along, sealing their house away from anyone and everyone. Torga ordered Moonclaw and Ectoplasm to prepare them for a long trip and they did so.
Raven spoke up, "Why are we leaving? Shouldn't we stay and defend?" Torga shook her head, "Moonclaw and Ectoplasm can do so, you and your sister must make it to her Kingdom. There you all can train and prepare for the war that I feel may come."
Bonnie was unsure, "If we leave we're like helpless sheep, we have no idea where to go or how to get there." She nodded, "Take this," she handed him an old looking map of sorts, he opened it, revealing the way to a great ruins he had never seen before on any map he had read, "This map was made by my father, he had discovered a place that will only appear to those whom need it. Go there, and start your journey to discover the most ancient of secrets."
Night looked at the map over Bonnie's shoulder, "And what secret may that be?"
Torga looked at him, "The secret of the Guardians."
