Lydia's P.O.V.

Taking a deep breath I knock on Brazen's door while rocking Hunter back and forth, a couple of seconds later a very shirtless Brazen opens the door trying to ignore his lack of clothing I smile at him, "Hey,"

"Hey...?" He said suspiciously, "What are you doing here?"

Giving him a shy look I adjust Hunter in my arms, "I need some answers Brazen," 

Brazen waved me inside of his room before throwing on a tank top covering himself up, "What kind of answers are you talking about?"

Sighing I sit down on his bed, "I don't know anything about Flynn, I want to know about him but he has his walls up so high I can never really get past them. The only time I see him remotely normal is when he is around Flora."

It was as if alarms went off in Brazen's brain he shook his head, "It isn't my place Dia if you want to know more about him then-"

"I have tried asking him Brazen, please." I cut him off, "It's weird enough that all because of one night my life changed so much, and it's much weirder because I still don't know anything about the guy that knocked me up."

Brazen sighed, "As I said Dia it's not my place, but I can get you the answers you need from someone else."

Confused I ask, "Who?"

"Come with me," Brazen said getting off of the bed and signaling me to follow him, picking Hunter up softly I followed him out of the room and towards Zane and Flora's room. Knocking on the door, Flora soon comes to the door slightly confused. "Aunt Flora, come with us." She looks over at me gently smiling at me before shutting the door.

"Need help with Hunter?"

I shook my head, "No actually...I wanted to know a little more about Flynn's background."

Flora's posture changed, "Come with me, Brazen go on to bed honey."

Brazen gave me one last look as I walked off with Flora towards a big room, it was a beautiful library but there was a small bed in the corner.

"Come sit here Dia," She said patting the bed cautiously, walking over I lay Hunter down before sitting down beside her. "A lot has happened to my son over the years, some of the events have changed him for the worse, and some for the good."

"Flora...I didn't mean to bring up old memories it's just..."

"No, sweetie," She cut me off grabbing my hand, "I understand, it's better if you know, to keep Hunter safe from the things I could keep Flynn safe from."

Carefully listening I grab her hand comfortingly, "He was only 16 when he got involved in all this stuff, normally the 'reigns' were handed over at the age of 18 maybe even 20, I had fought for his safety so many times. Like you, I didn't want Flynn or Brazen anywhere near all of this, but you know what they say, like father, like son. Truly the Alpha status should have been given to Brazen but Flynn..." Her voice cracked, "Flynn had proved himself to be a better Alpha than him. Either way, I wasn't happy."

"Proved himself?" I ask quietly, "What is that supposed to mean?"

"H-He was protecting Allie from some older students at school, bullies but they were also members of the Azar Gang, Flynn had almost sent one of them into a coma by just hitting him with a baseball bat."

I gasped, "Zane...he may seem and act like a good father but when Brazen and Flynn were younger the disciplinary actions he took against them, were harsh and cruel. Flynn has respect for his father, but not love."
