"Alright one down. Let's go." I said looking at the address for the next customer. "Its a guy name Tashinura Keido. Isn't far from here." Yaka said looking at the address and finding the building. "Here we are." Yaka knocked and waited a second but no answer. He knocked a second time and a guy with blonde hair and milk chocolate eyes appeared. "Hi! Can I help you?" He asked with a smile. "Yes. We are from the detective agency. We are on a case for a murder taken place at the knife shop that opened a few weeks ago. We were wondering if you saw anything suspicious?" I asked. "Hmm....no I didn't see anything. Then again I was only in there for about 5 minutes. Sorry I couldn't help." He said. "Its fine no worries. Thanks for your time." Yaka smiled. The man shut the door. "Alright. Next?" I asked. We the. Headed out to the next address.
Me and Yaka had been searching and knocking on doors all day but no one saw anything. "Its sunset...this is the last one and we can continue tomorrow. And dont worry we still have half the list." I said looking through. We came across a small house. "Here it is." Yaka knocked on the door and I could tell he was anxious. "Its fine. Remember. Half the list." I said trying to reassure him but it didnt seem to help. A little girl opened the door. "Hello?" She said. I let Yaka take this one for he was better with kids. "Hi. Is your mommy or daddy here? We wanna talk with them." Yaka said smiling softly. The little girl nodded and went to grab her parents. Soon her dad was in the doorway. "Hi sir. We are with the detective agency. We are investigating a case. A murder at the knife shop that opened a couple weeks ago. We were wondering if you saw anything suspicious when you visited." The guy thought for a bit. "I think so..come one and I cant tell you." I nodded and we were led inside to the kitchen.
"Okay. So I was searching for a knife for my brother. And suddenly this guy with a black hoodie covering everything but his mouth walked in. The cashier seemed really freaked out. The guy walked up to the counter and was given something wrapped in a white cloth. He opened it and there was a silver knife with a handle wrapped in black paracord. He slammed the knife on the counter making the cashier jump and the knife stuck to the counter. Then he left with the knife. That was about a week ago I think. Last Thursday I believe." The guys explained. "So that's what he ordered..." I mumbled. Yaka seemed pretty shaken. "Hey are you okay?" I asked concerned about him. "Yeah...yeah I'm fine...dont worry." He said smiling. I worried of course but if he didnt want to tell me then I wasnt gonna pry. "Thank you. This is really helpful." I nodded standing up. "Thanks for your time." Yaka said and we both left the house.
"Alright now what?" Yaka asked. "Now..we go back to the shop. If he ordered the knife the shipping form should be there in his name. Unfortunately it's already closed so we'll have to go tomorrow. This case will soon be over." I said walking with Yaka. "Sounds good. This is why your the best." Yaka said nudging me in the side a bit making me smile ever so slightly. "I'm sure there's way better detectives than me." I argued. "Nonsense! 2 weeks and no one could get anywhere. 3 days and you solved this. Even I couldn't do anything. It was all you. You never needed me and never will." Yaka argued back. "Thanks. But hey. Everyone needs a side kick. Hence why your around." I joked. "Ah yes. Lord Mika I am your humble servant." Yaka bowed in a silly way making me laugh slightly. "You know you should smile and laugh more often. Fits you better than that monotone face you have all the time. And seeing you happy makes me happy." Yaka said smiling a bit and I could tell he was serious. I blushed a bit and looked straight. "R-right..I'll try." I said then realized we were at my apartment. "Oh wow that was quicker than I thought. Well this is my stop. See you tomorrow." I said smiling a bit and waved. "Bye! See you tomorrow!" Yaka said happily then went to his apartment.
.................
Then next day my alarm woke me up. "Alright...time to close this case." I said getting up and getting ready for the day. "Knowing Yaka he's probably still sleeping..." I called Yaka and waited. "Hello?" I heard a sleepy voice say. "I told you to set an alarm. I'm ready and you just woke up." I said then sighed a bit. "Alright alright. I'm up and getting ready. See you in about 20 minutes. Bye." And with that he hung up. "I swear he'll be the death of me one day." I said walking out thinking I could grab coffee before I get to the shop. After coffee and a bit of walking, I met Yaka at the shop. "Hey!" Yaka said smiling brightly as always. "Arlgiht let's do this." I said walking in with Yaka behind me. I walked up to the counter recognizing the owner. "Hello. I need to access the shipment order files. This will help solve the case." The owner nodded and led us back. I hopped on the computer and searched the date for a specific order. "There. His names Waylen Onikawa." I opened up another tab and entered the website we use to look people up. Soon I found the address. "There. Let's go. Now." I said getting up and walking out. Yaka thanked the owner and followed me quickly.
We stopped at the office before going to his appartment for back up. We arrived at the door and soon we were in but to our surprise we found him dead in the chair in the living room. His throat slit open.
