~The Night Before~
Waylen was sitting in his chair in the living room watching TV when suddenly a hooded figure was standing in the doorway to the kitchen, throwing his knife in the air and catching it.. "Who are you? What do you want?" Waylen asked. When the figure spoke it sent chills down Waylen's spine just like it does to anyone and everyone who hears it. "You know this knife was specially ordered. Now the detectives will find the form. Here's where you come in.." The figure made it's way towards Waylen slowly. "..you're gonna help me confuse them. See when I ordered the knife, I obviously couldnt use mine. I put yours instead. So tomorrow, the detectives and police are gonna show up. Expecting you to be doing whatever it is you do in the morning. But instead..." the figure pushed his knife on Waylen's throat and spoke lowly as he smiled wickedly. "....you'll be dead." And with that Waylen's throat was slit. The figure jumped out the window into the night and disappearing.
~Back To The Present~
"What? No..he was supposed to be the murder..the case was supposed to be closed.." I said wondering what I was supposed to do now. There were no records of the person at the store cause they were deleted and even the shipment form and a different name. This is the first time I've hit a dead end. Maybe I'm not that great of a detective. "Hey Mika! Look at this!" One of the other detectives came up to me holding a silver knife with a crack and a couple chips at the tip. Obviously this was placed in a bag for evidence. "Take this to the lab immediately. I want a diagnostics test run to see if the knife and the piece from the clothing have the same material just to be sure. Then I want it run for finger prints just in case. Call me when you've finished and if you find anything of important while the tests running tests." The detective nodded and left immediately.
"What did they find?" Yaka asked curiously. "The knife. Assuming this is the same one being used this entire time. I had Leila take it to the lab, she just left." I said then started walking around to see if there was anything else left behind. "Really? It must have slipped out then.." he said following me looking around as well. "Um check over there and I'll do over here." I said pointing to the other side of the room. He nodded and went over there. Eventually we left having found nothing. "Alright. We found the knife and that's big. I dont think the murderer would be stupid enough to go back to the knife shop for another knife so we have to think. Maybe if we send one person to the couple other shops around here under cover and if the killer shows up we'll know." I suggested as me and Yaka left the building. "That sounds like a good plan. But I think you also should put someone at the shop he went to once. What if the mole hears and then tells them to go to the first one cause no one will be there? Then if they do go then we will have them." Yaka suggested. "Alright. We'll send someone there too." I said after thinking about it.
..................
~Over the next few days multiple detectives were sent under cover. There were four shops in total so four were sent out. One to every shop. Each were briefed on what to do if the killer showed up. Everything was going well. Our killer would soon be caught. No one saw anything for a few days. But one day..~
It was quiet. No customers and it was about be lunch. Seems like a calm day right? Wrong. A hooded figure walked into the shop. We had people watching from the security room. "Alright. Lendon pretend to be leaving for the day and go to the office to grab Mika, Yaka, and some back up." Lendon nodded and did so. "I'm off! See you tomorrow!" He said to the cashier. "Alright see ya! Alright sir what can I help you with?" The cashier said just like any other customer. "I'm here to place an order. I need a knife with a hande covered in black paracord." They spoke in their voice sending chills as always. "And your name?" She asked trying to hide the fact she was shaking. "Miyamai Laiko." The figure said. "Alright." The cashier saw everyone outside. "How about no." Since she like many other detectives knew some martial arts she hit him in the face hard. Soon he was surrounded. "You are under arrest for murdering three people. Stay where you are and no one gets hurt." I said as everyone had their guns pointed towards the guy.
He smiled wickedly. "So..finally had the guts to catch me huh..I see my mole gave some false information.." he said. I hate to admit it and I never let it show but his voice did send chills down my spine. "See? Told you it would work." Yaka said. I nodded silently praising him. "I know when I'm outnumbered. Doesnt mean I wont fight." He barely moved his arms when the cashier aka Leila hit him in the head knocking him out. "Time to see who you are." I said walking towards the guy and lifted his hood making his hair move from his face. "Kaiden Poler. Serial killer who's been on the run for the longest time. Should have known..take him away." The police officer put handcuffs on him and dragged him off. "Nice one Mika! Another case solved!" Yaka said patting me on the shoulder. "Yep. Now that kids family has some justice." I said walking out. "Okay. I'm going home. Could you file the case and get everything sorted out? I promised my mom I'd help her with dinner." Yaka said walking behind me. "Sure. I have to go tell the chief about all this anyway. You go. See you later." I said walking away. "Bye!" He waved and walked in the other direction.
**Bleh. Okay hope you enjoyed this story because I sure did. Told you I would confuse you guys. I will be posting another chapter tomorrow so stay tuned. Well that's all then. Till Next Time! Byeee!**
