**Alright. As I said before the chapters from now on are told from Mike's point of view. So first person. Alright to the story!**
I opened the door to my small apartment and plopped myself on the couch. "Finally home.." I sighed thinking of what to do for dinner when the phone began to ring. "This better be important." I said. I listened and then paused for a second. "I'll be there soon." I hung up and sighed again. "Back to work.." Still in my uniform, I got up, grabbed my things, and left the apartment locking the door behind me. Since the apartment is close to where I work I just walked there only taking about 10 minutes. I walked through the doors and straight to the chief's office. "What's so important you had to call me?" I asked my face showing no expression as I sat in the chair. "We have a case and no one here has put in so much as a dent for 2 weeks. I'm hoping you could sort this out." The chief said pushing a yellow file towards me on his desk. It read *Kurogirian High School Murder*. I was not amused. "You called me after I just got home for a high school murder?" I asked clearly upset though my face showing no change. "I know but 2 weeks and nothings come up. I had no choice but to call you. We had Yakate but hes come up with nothing either. I'm hoping with the two of you working together we can solve this before anyone else is murdered."
"Yakate?" I asked just to be sure I had heard correctly. Yes, i had some feelings for him but we were friends first. Still, I was happy to be working with him. Not that I let it show one bit."Yes. Is that a problem?" The chief asked. "No..no problem. I'll get right on it seeing how none of you can do something as simple as this." I took the file, flipping through and standing up. "Thank you. Yakate is in the lab with some evidence we found. Head there and he'll fill you in." I nodded and left without another word heading to the lab. As I was walking and looking through the file, I was seriously wondering why this was such a difficult job? I handle the most dangerous and difficult cases. Now I'm working on a high school murder. For all I know it was suicide being this day and age. I arrived at the lab and saw Yaka. He turned and smiled at me and my whole world melted as a song played in the background and cherry blossoms-(Mika- "Excuse me?! We aren't doing that! No really it was this.". Author- "Fourth wall much?") Yaka looked up and smiled and I waved a bit as he greeted me at the door. "Hey I see they called in the best. Over here." He handed me gloves which I put on and led me to a table. There was a piece of clothing I'm assuming from the boy where he was stabbed but that was it. All photos were in the file i was given.
Not changing expressions I learned in a bit and saw something glittering on the cloth. My brows furrowed together ever so slightly. "May i?" I asked the scientist who was beside me and Yaka and they nodded. I picked it up very carefully and examined the spot. "Theres a piece of the knife on here. I'm assuming it wasnt a very strong knife and if it hit some bone it cracked off a bit and landed on the kids clothing before going through." I turned to the scientist and said. "You should put it under a microscope. Figure out what the metal is and see if you could find where the knife came from. Then whoever's bought a knife from the store we can investigate. Yaka I'm leaving that with you." I was now facing Yaka my face serious as ever. "When you get the store and find a list then bring it to me and we can interrogate the suspects. Whoever this is knows how to cover their tracks but their knife choosing seems to be poor. I'm going home now. Call me when you have the list." With a last wave I left the lab to go home. I saw out of the corner of my eye everyone getting to work and knew I could relax at home. They would do their job and I could wait till I got called to do mine.

~Little did Mika know someone was at the shop~
"I want all my records destroyed from coming here." A familiar low menacing voice said. "S-sorry sir. I cannot do that." The cashier said trying to get a look but their hair covered their eyes and this time a hoodie was present making it hard to see. "Hm..." suddenly there was a knife agains5the cashiers throat. And it had a couple cracks at the tip. "I think we can arrange that...dont you?" The figure smiled wickedly putting slightly more pressure on the cashiers throat with the knife. "Y-yes...I-I-im sure I can do something..." the cashier said as the knife was removed. "Good. And if you dont deliver, then.." the figures threw a knife making it hit the wall beside the cashiers head. "...then things will get messy. And if you tell anyone..." he threw another knife on the other side of the cashiers head. "....then things get messy...got it?" The figure asked. Too afraid to speak the cashier nodded furiously whole trembling with fear. "Good. I'll be back tonight. You better have done what I said. Or else.. " without another word the figure left as the cashier began his work immediately with erasing the records.
When the figure returned that night, he was pleased to see that no sign of him ever being here was seen. "I-I even got rid of the-the security tapes...a-and they aren't playing now....s-so no one will ever know you were h-here...." the cashier explained hoping he could get out of this alive. "Wow. I'm impressed. Going beyond my expectations and doing all the dirty work for me. Now there's just one thing you forgot to get rid of..." the figure said walking slowly towards the cashier. "W-what is t-that?" They asked trembling in fear once more. The figure put his knife to the cashier's throat. While smiling heavily he whispered in the cashuers ear in a voice sending chills down the man's spine. "...the eye witness..." and with that the guys throat was slit. The figure left the guy lying on the floor dead. No one would find him till morning.
