"Cal, were you eavesdropping on us?" I rolled my eyes.

"Maybe a little, towards the end.." he opened the door, a stupid grin on his face. "But come on, you guys were in here for ages! Don't think I've forgotten your birthday, Willow." He said, cheekily.

He came over and shook my hand. "A very happy birthday to this very lovely lady, here." I couldn't help but chuckle. Alright. He may be annoying, but he's one of my best friends.

I chuckled. "Why thank you, my very pompous friend."

He flinched slightly. "Well.. I guess.." he muttered under his breath. But I heard it.

I sighed internally. I didn't know when this was going to end. He just doesn't seem to get a hint. Oh, well..

Pam got a text. She bit her lip, then smirked. What? Who was texting her, that made her react like that? She looked up, catching me staring. "Uh-So! How about we watch a movie?" She asked, looking like she was blushing slightly. Was this stupid locket making me see things now?? Never mind.

"Yeah, that sounds fun!" I followed her and Cal down into their living room.

We decided to watch the movie 'Jaws'. It was super fun aside from the fact that Cal sat in between Pam and I. He also stole my popcorn. Ugh I hate him sometimes. He kept putting his hand over my shoulders, which I don't think he did to Pam as well. Oh well.. I tried to ignore it and just enjoy the movie.

A few hours afterwards, when the movie was over, we decided to go get ice cream again. It was all well and good, but I just wanted to go home at that point. I knew Mom would be worried about me, and I didn't want to spend the whole day without seeing her.

But when I voiced my thoughts, Pam just said, "Oh, come on Willow. Give your mom a break. She doesn't need a constant reminder of how painful this day was, you know." We all laughed. But I couldn't help but suspect.. Were they keeping me away from my own house? I dismissed the thought. Why do I always assume everyone cares so much about me? I chided myself. We got ice cream and stayed there, eating and chatting, for about another couple of hours. By the time we set off on our way back, it was already getting dark outside. We trudged on along the side walk. When we reached my house's front gate, I noticed a package in the mailbox. That was funny. I had taken in all of the mail in the morning itself, when it usually comes by. It had a flood of birthday cards from friends and distant relatives. A package at an odd time must be something of urgency or importance.

I took the package and we all headed through the gate. We all decided to go to my house together and hang out some more there. We reached the house door, and I opened it with my spare key. When we entered, it was pitch black inside. I found it weird. I placed the package on the shoe rack, and turned on the lights.

Immediately almost half a dozen people, including Pam and Cal, screamed, "SURPRISE!!"
