I woke up to the birds chirping at my window. I usually like the birds, they were very helpful, but today somehow feels different. I did what I always did when I wake up but I didn't bother to check the mirror today because I already know how I look so why check it again?

I then walk into the living room where my sister Lily is sitting on the couch, but there's something off about her. Lily seems taller. I ignore it and go to see my mom.

Like always, she is cooking but I see she has ears and a tail just like all those years ago. "Hey mom" I ask, I am very confused, my mom has ears and a tail on her. It's been years since she has had ears and a tail! "Oh hey-" My mother tries to say but she saw my alarmed face "Oh right...." she started "What's going on?!" I exclaim turning around to still see Lily on the couch, I look closer and see that she also has ears and a tail.

"It seems like the curse didn't lift completely" I hear my mom whisper "But you said it would be gone forever!" I turn back around to her and see that she is very nervous. "Well I guess I was wrong" She smiles weakly "No you lied" I could feel my anger getting stronger by the minute and I don't know how to control it

"I'm sorry, I wasn't sure. I thought it would work!" My mother exclaimed "Well obviously it didn't work!" I yelled. There it goes, I lost my temper again. This is what I hate about turning into a fox, my temper is too short for me to handle. But this time I can agree with my temper, she lied and I have been living in this lie for five years.

I walked away from her and went to my room not even saying sorry.

I don't want to be living in the same house with her anymore, my mom knows how much I hate liars but she still did it. I grabbed my stuff, put it all in a bag, tried to cover my tail with a jacket, and put on a hat to cover my ears. "I guess I will head to the park" I thought to myself as I through on my backpack pack and head outside.

As I approached the door I stop by my sister to get a look at her and I was right, she is also a fox. As I stare at her she then looks at me "Oh Hey!" she smiles, I ignore her and walk out the door. "Ok to the park" I think to myself again as I head down the sidewalk.
