After a day at the park with Ben and Noah, we start to head down the sidewalk
"So where do you live?" Ben asks me as we stop walking to take a break. Ben can't know where I live he will take me back and I told myself I would never live with a liar again "Live?" I asked "I mean like home?" He corrects himself "Home?" I ask trying to sound totally clueless "Do you not have a house?" Ben asked me, he was starting to look sad " No" I said turning away so that i wouldn't feel guilty.
"Well come to think of it" Ben starts to say turning away from me as I turn back to him "My parents died two months ago and I need an adult in the house in order to keep it, if not then we will be on the streets" Ben said looking down and his little brother who was sitting on the floor with his teddy bear "Wait you don't even know my age?! You can't just ask me depressing stuff like that?! What if I'm 16 and I let you down?!" I yell.
"You can't be 16?" Ben said tilting his head a bet "Why is that?" I ask with a bit of attitude "You look to old?" Ben said looking up at the sky.
"respect your elders you jerk!" I exclaim as he is still looking at the sky "You are 21 right?" He asks turn back to me "You idiot I'm not that old!" I yell again "I'm fricken 18!".
He stares at me a little confused "Are you su-?" He starts "Yes I'm sure you little jerk!" I yell again "Ok?" He says picking up Noah so he can walk again.
"Where are you going now you dewerpe?" I ask as he walks off "My house?" He says turning to me "You coming?" He asks "Yeah yeah" I exclaim as I run up to him and Noah so we can head to his house. "Hey Gene?" Ben asks me "What" I respond "Can you take care of me and Noah at the house?" He asks me.
"Wh-?" I was gonna ask him why he needed me but I then remember he said his parents died "Sure...." I respond as we stand in front of his place.
