Chapter 15- Strangers In The Woods

We have been walking for hours, and what I mean by 'we' I mean me and Lucas. 

Lucas turned into his full fox form and I did the same, Luke had Noah on his back and I had Ben. Lucas stopped walking and stood in place. 

"What's-?" I start to ask but Luke cuts me off "Gene...get ready to run or turn back" Luke whispers as he looks around "What is-?" I start again "Shut up Gene...!" Luke sounds like he was trying to yell at me but he was still whispering. 

 I quiet down when I hear talking from the near west. The noise grows louder. Both me and Luke change into our normal form. 

We place hats on our head and cover our tails. Luke didn't have a jacket, just a hoodie that won't work. Ben offers his jacket and Luke quickly puts it around his waist. 

I watch Ben pick up Noah, who was sleeping peacefully and place him behind a small bush. The voices were even louder now, almost like....The were right in front of us. 

"Hello? Is anyone there?" I heard a girl voice come from in front of me. 

"There are two people" I whisper to Ben. Ben nods then turns his head to ahead.

"Hi! Yes, there are a few people here!" Ben makes sure his voice is light and calming just in case they were foxes or wolves but if they were humans then it would be convincing that they would be safe to follow us. 

"Thank god! Wait- here I'm coming, give me a sec." we hear the voice say as the bushes in front of us start to rustled Then there they were. 

A dark skinned girl with her short brown hair in a ponytail staring at us with a relieved face expression and a boy with his hair in a small ponytail who looked as if he didn't really trust us. 

"Hi" the girl smiles at Ben widely as she walks up real close to him "Hello" Ben smiles back "I'm Layla Hallowed!" She exclaimed "I'm Benjamin Lee!" Ben says as he calls Noah(who just woke up) to him. 

"Aw what a cutie!" Layla says as she gets on her knees to pet the small child on his head "What's your name sweetie" Layla had a smooth voice...it annoyed me. 

"Go on, tell her your name" Ben pats Noah on the back lightly "N-Noah Lee" Noah says quietly "Hi Noah! I'm Layla" She smiled again. 

"Let me show you everyone!" Ben smiled as he held out his hand to help her up...but I sensed angry feelings coming from all Luke, Me, and that boy whom was with Layla. 

Layla took Ben's hand and the sense got stronger from the boy. I knew this was gonna be a long day.
