Chapter 36 - A New Life

"Soooo, what would you like?"
"A green tea would be nice." you mumbled back as he held your hand tighter. His palms sweater from what could only be described as nervousness.

You'd think after months of being together, he'd stop being so nervous but you were wrong.

To his credit, things had been going well, better than expected at least.
"A green tea it is then." He casually smiled.

A smile that seemed so small yet big enough to bring to your knees.

"How is your mom doing anyway?"
"she's fine but still eating weird things. Yesterday, I caught her eating a banana with ketchup on it."

(For those who forgot, Y/Ns stepmom was pregnant. It's gonna play a big role in the future)

"when is she due?"
"in a couple of months."

"god-" he stops walking. "We've been together that long? Feels like yesterday." he giggled at you.

"I guess we have." You let a out a small smile, putting your forehead on his shoulder. The park around you was slowly emptying itself as night fell on.

This was what you dreamt of as a child, the kind of love they said you'd only feel once in a lifetime. This was it. This was that kind of love and you were sure of it.

"Y/N?"
"What?"
"I think I love you."
"I think I'm in love with you too."

Slowly moving away from your head, he looked down at you, stars in his eyes.

You felt your breath hitch as he leaned even closer to your face, his lips finally locking with yours.

You put your sweaty hand on the end of his fine jawline, pulling him even closer to yourself.

After what seemed like a minute to pure chemistry, he finally pulled away from you, his breath completely out of control.

"I'm sure now, I want to spend the rest of my life with you and I don't care what your friends and family think of me. I love you, Y/N. I love you so much."

This time, he cut himself off by kissing you once again.
