❛YOU'RE TOO FUCKING SMART. I HATE IT.❜

Todoroki: Your face just now gave it away. Now tell the truth, L/N.
She looked at him, her brows furrowed in frustration. She frowned and sighed, taking the hood of her onesie off.
Y/N: What is with you? Why are you doubting everything I say?
Todoroki: It doesn't make sense.
She raised an eyebrow, taking her mug and blowing on it, her lips pursed.
Y/N: Elaborate.
Todoroki: You mentioned before that when your quirk is activated, you get wings.
He gestured to the back door, where the two of them just came from.
Todoroki: You didn't have wings just now.
He heard her breath hitch. He continued.
Todoroki: You were also cold outside. You're supposed to have all elements, right? Why couldn't you just heat yourself up?
She opened her mouth to speak but he cut her off, earning a glare from her.
Todoroki: I'm not done. Whenever I ask about your quirk, any part other than that garden stuff you did, you brush the question off and change the subject.
She took a sip of her hot chocolate.
Todoroki: And if your quirk was this powerful, even better than mine, wouldn't it be a privilege for me to marry you? Why is it the other way around, then? Why does your father act like I'm better than you when you supposedly have this amazing quirk.
She peered at him from above her mug, moving to sit on the counter. He stared at her with that signature cold stare of his, but once again, she didn't back down like everyone else. She just scowled back. That annoyed him. He's too used to being scared of, and here's this girl who acts like his intimidation means nothing.
Todoroki: I'm done now.
He calmed down. His point got across, right? There was no denying now, was there? She took another long, dragged sip from her cocoa, some chocolate residue staining her lips, which she licked off sultrily. He sucked in a breath.
Y/N: You know...
She looked at him again, frowning a bit.
Y/N: You're too fucking smart. I hate it.
His eyes narrowed again and she shrugged.
Y/N: I'm not gonna lie, you're right, about all of that. You're hella observant for noticing.
