❛YOU'RE LYING TO ME.❜

He hadn't seen her for the whole week. Granted, he had school and testing, so his father couldn't force him to go to the house after school. Once, he had seen her with Miki, touring around and taking pictures, but he pretended he didn't.
Then Saturday rolled around again, and Enji made him go early as hell. She was probably going to ignore him, so he wasn't as opposed to it as usual.
He went inside the house only to find it empty, him calling out many times and no one answering. He was about to leave when he glanced at the back door.
Might as well try the backyard, he thought, walking towards it. Slowly, he opened the door and it revealed her sitting on the ground, crisscrossed, feeling the grass. He tilted his head slightly at the odd sight. She was still in her pajamas, the thick onesie looking pretty comfortable.
He watched for a little, seeing her run her hands along the blades of the grass. Suddenly, bunches of flowers rose up from the ground, slowly making colorful petals that spread out along the backyard. He watched in awe, walking towards her.
He could tell that the flowers being made were cosmoses from the petals. He put a hand on her shoulder.
Todoroki: L/N.
She flinched, her body jerking upwards. The flowers contorted to a different kind, this one he recognized as the flower aconite. It was one of her favorites. He furrowed his brows in confusion. Y/N looked back at him, a deep scowl on her face.
Y/N: Oh, it's you.
The flowers contorted again. He didn't know this kind. The petals were larger and deeper, and the flower itself seemed to writhe in fury.
Todoroki: Is this part of your quirk?
He sat next to her, his eyes trained on the flowers.
Y/N: Good morning to you, too.
She sighed, annoyed. She focused her attention back onto the flowers, her scowl never leaving her face.
Y/N: Yes, this is my quirk.
She paused.
Y/N: The Earth element, of course.
Todoroki nodded.
Todoroki: Why do they change?
Y/N: Depending on my emotions. Even a slight change can ruin the whole garden.
Todoroki: What kind are these?
He pointed to the flowers, her glancing at the curious boy.
