Here is Shattered Reflections, a new piece of music my husband DarkMinstrel wrote based on poem twelve of this collection. It's a perfect companion for the rather dark and melancholy words that talk about loss and failure and the wish to be at peace.
I stare into the mirror of my broken self it speaks to me in silence of all that I have lost
I see shattered reflections of what once was whole a glittering mosaic the fragments of my soul
I linger through the ages my flawless perfection just an illusion to mask my defeat
I long to close my eyes and lay my heart to rest the image of my failures a quiet echo in the dark
