A/N: Short Chapter, but worth it. Trust me.
~Harry~
My phone buzzed in my pocket and I rolled my eyes, tugging it out of my tight jeans. I had been sitting out in the back yard on a pool chair, staring at the sky for three hours and I was content and calm, but someone had to ruin it. Allegra’s name popped up on the screen and my brow furrowed as I realised I had forgotten to call her back days ago.
“Hey Al, sorry I-”
“No, let me talk. I have one thing to say and then I’m hanging up…” My heart quickenned and I sat up, hearing the desperation and anger in her voice.
“Okay, go ahead.”
“I’ve lost everything” There was silence on the other end and I spoke up.
“No you haven’t Allegra, I feel that way toom but you still have-”
“No, I said let me talk, Harry. I’ve lost everything. You still have your best friends. My mother is an empty shell of a woman, my friends have all given up on me because I can’t be bothered to go out, or to make the time to see them.” He sighed and I recognized the shortness of breath that often meant tears. “My dad is dead and my sister is as good as dead.”
“Al…”
“Let me finish.” She yelled and I looked down, pressing my lips together. “For a while I thought I had you Harry, but you’re just like the rest of them, you’re like my mom, and my dad, and Tori, and all of my friends.” She sobbed, her voice hoarse. “You’re going to leave me one way or another and I’m not going to stand around and wait while you do it.” And then the line went dead.
~Tori~
The next night, the sound of a knock at the door broke me from sleep and I felt Tanner roll over, retracting his arm from around my waist.
“It’s three in the morning…” He said, squinting at the bright blue light of our alarm clock. “Who the fuck is at the door.?”
“I don’t know, can you go get it before it wakes Cici?” I asked, sitting up.
“I’ll go check on her, you go get it, it’s probably Madame Cross…Who else could it be?” He asked as he got up. I nodded, walking quickly to the stairs. I took them two at a time and walked straight to the door, pulling my oversize knit cardigan over my thin tank top and boxer shorts. I pulled the deadbolt open and unlocked the door, turning the knob slowly. As I openned the large wooden door, my heart nearly beat out of my chest and my throat tightenned. Staring back at me, eyes wide and bloodshot, suitcase in hand, a pained look on his beautiful features. Staring back at me was one of the people I longed to see more than anything and my heart leapt as I pulled him into my arms, a sob bubbling from my chest.
Staring back at me was Liam Payne.
