*You and Aidan are both 5 years old*
Bolting out of your house you run down the stairs and to the neighbors house as fast as your legs could carry you.
You approach the car that just pulled up into the driveway.
Inside of the car is your best friend, you've been best friends forever and he is your favorite person in the world.
"AIDANNNNNNN!!!" you yell opening the car door. "I MISSED YOU SO MUCH, you should have never gone on vacation" you say while hugging him
"i missed you too y/n, it was the most boringest thing in the whole wide world" he says while hugging you back.
Aidan gets out of the car and heads to his house, you follow him into his house helping him bring his bags in.
"Aidan our first day of school is tomorrow and what if nobody likes me?"
"well i like you y/n, you're my best friend"
"forever?" you asked holding up your pinky
"forever" he said wrapping his pinky around yours
"y/n sweetie!" Aidan's mom yelled "your mom wants you home now"
"awwww whyyyyy, i've been waiting for Aidan to come back for like 5 whole days" you complained.
"she said you need to be home so she can get you ready for your first day of school" Aidan's mom replied.
"I know i just got back but you need to go get ready bc tomorrow is our VERY FIRST day of school and it has to be perfect" Aidan explained.
"okay but i'll be back here tomorrow morning ready for school!" you tell him.
"yay!!" Aidan exclaimed.
You gave him a hug goodbye and then ran home.
The next morning your alarm goes off and you shoot out of bed, running you grab your jeans and hoodie (you and Aidan picked out matching outfits to wear for your first day of school) you threw your clothes on then ran downstairs.
"are you ready to go have breakfast with the Gallagher's honey?" your mom asks
"YESS!! LETS GO LETS GO LETS GOOOOOOOOO COME ON MOM" you yelled.
"i'm comin i'm comin."
You then grabbed your backpack, lunchbox, and your moms hand and ran out the door.
"whoa y/n slow down."
"WE CANT SLOW DOWN WE CANT WE GOTTA GO I CANT BE LATE FOR SCHOOL ITS MY FIRST DAY AND I HAVE TO BE ON TIME."
"y/n y/n calm downnnn, we still have 2 hours until you need to be there, so let's just enjoy a nice breakfast with the Gallagher's and i promise i'll get you to school on time, okay?"
"okay" you say as you walked through Aidan's front door.
"AIDAN!!!"
"Y/N!!!"
"AIDAN WE'RE MATCHING!"
"YES WE'RE LIKE TWINSSSS!"
"YAY!!" you both yelled at the same time jumping up and down hugging eachother
Once our parents got us calmed down we sat down for some breakfast.
"ooooh chocolate chip waffles!! those are my favorite!" you say with excitement
"i know they are sweetie, that's why i made them" Aidan's mom explained
"awwww thank you Aidan's mommy."
"of course sweetie."
You and Aidan finished your waffles first so you went to go play the floor is lava while the parents finished their food.
"AIDAN THIS WAY HURRY"
"WAIT Y/N THIS WAS IS SAFER, WE'LL NEVER MAKE IT IF WE GO THAT WAY"
"Aidan you never listen to me, we ALWAYS go your way because your way is "safer", why can't we ever just go my way"
"because, y/n, the floor is lava and to get from that couch to that couch *he points* is too far for my little legs to jump"
"UGH YOU NEVER LISTEN TO ME"
"THATS BECAUSE MY WAY IS BETTER"
"IS NOT"
"IS TOO"
"IS NOT"

"HEY HEY WHATS GOING ON IN HERE" your mom yells running into the room
"AIDAN NEVER LISTENS TO ME MOM" you yelled
"THATS BECAUSE MY WAY IS BETTER" Aidan yelled back
"WHOA HEY!!" Aidan's mom came in yelling "I'm sure whatever you guys are arguing about can be solved if you just talk to eachother."
"y/n can you please explain politely why you're upset" your mom said in a calm voice.
"Aidan i feel like you always wanna do things your way and you never give me a chance to do anything my way" you explained.
"well that's because your way always seems dangerous and i don't want you to get hurt" Aidan responded calmly.
"oh, well why didn't you just say that?"
"i don't know, i'm sorry y/n"
"i'm sorry too Aidan"
Then you guys gave each other a big hug.
"now are you ready for school y/n"
"i'm super duper ready!"
When you got to school you saw how big the school was, you and Aidan got scared so you grabbed each other's hand.
"hey kids can you turn around and smile for a picture?" Aidan's mom asked
You and Aidan turned around and smiled.
*snap*
Aidan's mom took a polaroid photo
"thank you cuties!" she said.
"good luck on your first day of school" your mom yelled to you and Aidan as you were walking into the school hand in hand.
