Forever

Chapter 2

*5 year time skip so now you're both 10*

You and Aidan run around playing tag while your parents talk to eachother.
You trip and fall and then Aidan runs over to you.
"y/n!!!, are you okay?!?" he asked concerned.
"i- i don't wanna look" you say while covering your knee.
"it's ok y/n i'll look for you, on the count of 3 you will uncover your knee for me okay?"
"okay" you agreed.
"1....2....3"

You uncover your knee after Aidan said 3 "it doesn't look too bad" Aidan reassured. "only a little blood, we can go inside and put a bandaid on it" he said while holding out his hand for you to grab.
You grab his hand and he helps you up.

The two of you walk into Aidan's house and he gets you a bandaid.
"here you go" Aidan said while putting the bandaid on your knee.
"thank you Aidan, i don't know what i'd do without you" you say while hugging him and he hugs you back.

You guys hung out for the rest of the day playing minecraft on Aidan's xbox.
After it got dark your mom called you back to your house.
Aidan turned off the game and walked you back to your house, you gave him a hug goodbye and then walked into your house.

Once you got into your house you talk to your mom because you're super happy.
"Aidan is the bestest best friend in the world mom!! we're gonna be best friends foreverrrrr!" you say excitedly.
"um y/n sweetie, i need to talk to you about something" your mom said with an unsteady voice.
"what?" you ask with a soft concerned voice.
"well" your mom started "it's about the Gallagher's" she said while putting her hand on your shoulder.
"what about them mom?" you ask worried.
"they're moving sweetie...."
"WHAT, NO" you said running out of your house and into the Gallagher's.

"NO YOU CANT MOVE AIDAN YOU CANT" you said in tears.
"what.." Aidan asked his mom who looked really worried "what is she talking about mom"
"Aidan sweetie, i got a job offer across the country, we move next month" she said in a soft voice.
"we're moving..?" he said with tears in his eyes "i can't move mom, what if i stayed with y/n, y/n's mom could take care of me, you can go to your job and i can stay here so i don't have to move."
"Aidan sweetie my decision is final" she said.
"NO" you shouted. "IM NOT LETTING YOU LEAVE" you said while bawling your eyes out.
You run over and give Aidan the biggest hug.
"I'm gonna miss you y/n" Aidan whispered.
"I'm gonna miss you more Aidan" you whispered.

(time skip to moving day)

You and Aidan have spent every waking moment together and your parents let Aidan practically live at your house since they knew there was only a little bit of time left.

The day was here, the day you both dreaded, the day that has not been talked about since the day you found out.
It's moving day....
You wake up and look over at the bed next to you, there's Aidan.
You didn't know whether to wake him so you could spend more time with him or not because he looked so peaceful sleeping. You walk over to your window and look outside.
There it is... the moving truck.
You felt a pit in your stomach, everything began to feel so real.
Your best friend was leaving and you didn't know if you'd ever see him again.

You ran over to Aidan and woke him up
"Aidan.." you shook him gently.
"huh" he mumbled while opening his eyes.
He looks up to see you crying.
"oh no" he whispered softly while getting up to give you a hug.
"Aidan this is the end. You leave today" you say choking on your own words "i don't want you to go"
"i don't want to go either y/n" he said with sadness behind his voice.
You pull out of the hug to see his beautiful green eyes glisten with tears.
"i'm gonna miss you y/n"
"i'm gonna miss you too Aidan"

"best friends" Aidan says

"forever?" you ask as you hold out your pinky.

"forever" he says as he wraps his pinky around yours

He pulled you into another hug.
Just then your mom walked into the room.
"y/n sweetie... it's time for Aidan to go" she said with a soft voice.

Aidan grabs your hand and guides you outside.
You look at him and he has tears running down his face.
"time to get into the car Aidan" his mom says.
He turns to you and gives you a hug.
"goodbye y/n, you were the best friend i could have ever had" he said with tears running down his face.
You were crying too hard to say much so you just whispered.
"goodbye Aidan"
"i love you y/n"
"i love you too"
He pulls away from the hug and gets into his car, the car drives away and out of sight.
This was it, your best friend was gone...
