Author's Note: So, this is the last chapter. I really enjoyed writing this story and thank you to those who have read, commented, and voted - and thank you to those who might do so in the future. Next weekend, I will be uploading the Epilogue. I'm dedicating this chapter to NicoleNazario for always leaving generous and or random comments lol, as well as voting and sticking around the entire time. Aside from that, I hope you all enjoy :)
Harry's Point Of View.
After that much needed talk with George, I find myself racing home in order to get to Louis; I've realized that I'm willing and ready to make things work, as well as take the next step - a committed relationship. It won't be easy, we'll practically have management and the media breathing down our backs every step of the way, and we could risk this band's future. That's how one part of me feels; on the other hand, another part of me feels like if Niall and Liam can make it this far and accomplish so much together, then why can't we? It probably won't be as easy for us as it is for them, but that's what compromising is all about. I'm expecting a heap of shit when I get back to the flat, especially when Louis finds out I was out with George today. I'm hoping he doesn't let his anger and jealousy get the best of him and that it all was just a drunken mistake last time.
Upon reaching our flat, I parked the car in the driveway and exited the car. I have my doubts and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous as hell, but none of that matters. Pride doesn't come before love, so I'm willing to lay it all out on the table - be as open as possible with him and hope that we're on the same page with this. If all else fails, I did bring him a nice, warm mocha with extra cool whip, just how he likes it. I locked the car doors and set the alarm, before heading onto the porch. I opened the door and stumbled into the cozy hall, then made my way into the living room. Zayn was resting upon the couch, wrapped in a blanket, a cup of tea by his side, and the television set to some type of soap opera. I walked over to him, made sure he was neatly tucked under the blankets, then gave him a kiss on his forehead. Just as I was about to walk away, he started to stir around and opened his eyes.
"Hey, Haz." He said, softly, rubbing his eyes free of the sleep.
"Hey, Zayn. Sorry for awaking you." He let out a yawn, then sat up straight.
"It's fine. The two love birds managed to wake me up already. They came in giggling and ranting on about their matching tattoos." Niall and Liam will always manage to one-up us. I chuckled to myself, then patted Zayn on the shoulder.
"Get some rest, babe." He nodded in approval, then laid back down. I made my way upstairs, slowly. I was ready, but, at the same time, I wasn't. It could be the rejection, or the thought of it, and it could be what lies ahead. Louis isn't the toughest person to deal with; however, I've learned to cope and realized that he just likes to be in control. I know he doesn't mean much harm by it. It's just who he is. Maybe it's all he has, seeing as Liam had already taken on the leadership role, despite Louis being the oldest. I came across my familiar door and, if I'm right, he should still be laying in bed in the same state that I had left him. I turned the knob, taking all precautions, then walked inside. The evening sun settled in the room, revealing only half of Louis' figure. Only difference is, he wasn't actually asleep, but rather laying on his side, staring at the wall ahead. "Hi, Lou." I decided to play it nonchalant, unaware of what mood he may be in.
"Hi." He turned around to face me, face almost crimson to the tip of his noise. It looked like he had been crying. I sat the mocha down on the dresser near the bed, then sat next to him. He leaned against the head board, resting his back side against the cushioned-surface.
"I, um...I brought you something from Starbucks. I managed to keep it warm, but, if you're not up for it, I suppose Niall would want it."
"It's fine. I'll get to it, eventually."
