Harry's Pov.

Silence. That is just about the only thing that has fallen amongst us, for the past week. Then again, what else is there suppose to be said? Liam was gone, being the only one to not have survived the car accident. My mind couldn't wrap around the outcome; how was he the only one with little-to-no strength to keep his heart beating? Why was he the only one not in our presence right now? Why aren't we in his? Why do harm come across those who aren't deserving of it? I was the driver; the opposing vehicle smashed into me, in a sense. My injuries seemed more critical than theirs, yet I survived. I was at fault, seeing as I turned around to get a sight of Zayn's unfortunate barfing episode. I took my eyes off the road, causing a life to be taken away. Zayn blames himself, for throwing up in the first place; however, he didn't have any control over the contents releasing from his mouth. That wasn't the first time he has gotten drunk and puked, so why was it such a conflicting matter now?

A week has gone by; the limo ride was filled with dead silence. Liam's funeral had just taken place and witnessing him in the casket was the last thing anyone could hope for. He laid there, stiff. Lifeless, though peaceful; he was very angelic. That wasn't anything new. Only difference is, we won't be able to be graced by his presence anymore. Niall was nuzzled up in Zayn's neck, securely wrapped in his arms. His blonde hair was ruffled up and untamed; dry tear stains on his checks. He had managed to fall asleep for the first time in days. Zayn stared out the window - eyes radiating a hazel pigment. A few tears fell down, every so often. He didn't bother wiping them away, since they had no intentions of ever stopping their run. Louis' head rested on my shoulder, fringe tickling my neck. Every now and then, he would let out a sigh or sniffle, helping me indicate when he was crying as well. His white buttoned up shirt was a little messy; he couldn't get his tie off, when we entered the limo, so he yanked it off, forcibly. Anger was getting the best of him.

The limo came to a stop and the window separating us from the driver made its' way down. "We're here, gentlemen." Louis' head had arisen from my shoulder, as he opened the door and made his exit.

"Niall, wake up." Zayn shook him, slightly, causing him to grunt. His eyes fluttered open, revealing his blue pigment; he was still teary-eyed and his nose was red. He shot me a look as he made an exit out the limo next. Zayn didn't even bother to look my way, though he's been that way with everyone, except Niall. I made my exit, closing the door behind myself, and made my way to the front door of the flat. It's been a long day and all I wanted to do was sleep it away. There was nothing to look forward to and this group, and management's, obligations were the last thing on my mind. I closed the door and looked to the top of the stairs, immediately. Zayn was making his way up behind Niall; Louis wasn't in sight, so I assumed he already made his way into our room. We use to always share a bed; however, everyone's become so distant lately, and I've been sleeping on the couch. Zayn nurtures Niall because they're closer and Niall isn't mentally stable, at the moment; he has had more breakdowns than any of us and leaving him to deal with it alone wasn't an option. We needed each other more than anything now. Liam was the core of this group and friendship; he kept us level-headed and on our toes; always looked out for us and had us taken care of. Now, with his absence, we don't really know where to go from here.

I made my way up the stairs, passing by Zayn and Niall's room first. I heard sobbing, though it was almost done quietly. I pressed my ear against the door and heard Zayn passing Niall on soothing words, while his voice cracked at the pour of his own tears. I let out a sigh, then continued walking. Liam's bedroom door was opened, slightly; it's been that way since we went to the karaoke bar. No one has gone inside. I wouldn't be able to bare. I opened my bedroom door and found Louis in bed, head resting on his knees, as they were pulled up to his chest. His sobs filled the room. Instantly, I dropped my blazer and ran over to him; I didn't have to ask what was wrong; it's beyond apparent, so I just wrapped my arms around him and held him closely.

"H-Haz, I'm so hurt. Why did this have to happen?" He could barely talk; crying and talking at the same time was very complex. "Why was he taken from us?"

"I-I don't know." I rested my chin on the top of his head. I'm sure my eyes were nearly bulging out; I could easily say that it was my inconsiderable actions that caused the accident. I've said it plenty if times; however, Lou told me to stop blaming myself. My tears were now making their way down my cheeks. Everything was out of place, physically and mentally. Simon was at the funeral today, but we asked, for the respect of us and Liam's family, not to bring up anything business or media related. We didn't care for it, at least not now.

Louis' Pov.

'Louis...Louis!'

My eyes opened, quickly, at the sound of his voice; call me insane, but Liam's voice taunted me a lot in my dreams. This was the third time this has happened. I turned on my right side, getting a glimpse at the clock on the dresser nearby. 1:24 a.m. I turned over, alone in bed again; it killed me that I was pushing Harry away to the point of sleeping separately, though there are reasons. I just didn't think now was the best time to get into them. I sat up on the edge of the bed and ran my fingers through my fringe. I walked to the window, at the sound of the trees rustling nearby. The branches hit the window, ever so often; there was a breeze. The moon was crescent. I could hear the barking of the neighbors' dog; but the streets were vacant.

I made my way out the bedroom, closing the door behind me, quietly. I dreaded walking past Liam's room; I always had the urge to go in, but too afraid to. Niall and Zayn's door was still closed; however, I'm sure they were asleep. As I made my way downstairs, a blue light flashed a few times; I reached the bottom to find Harry sitting up, flickering through the channels. The blue light beamed on his face; he looked pale and exhausted; his sleep remained deprived since that unfaithful night. I approached him, calmly. There was no telling what was going through his mind and everyone was feeling a bit on edge, at this point.

"Hazza?" He turned my way; his green eyes met mine, and he smiled; I could tell it was fake; he wanted to be strong and it was very transparent.

"Hi, boo." His deep, soothing voice released those words, softly. I took a seat next to him.

"What are you still doing up?"

"I still can't sleep." I'm sure he was feeling the way I was. Every time I close my eyes, images of Liam were sure to shroud it; I guess television was Harry's way of coping with that. I rested my head on his shoulder. His skin brushed against mine, it was very comforting. The television was broadcasting a late night game show; however, it could have been a re-run. I wouldn't expect anyone to partake in such events at this time of the night. My eyes focused back on Harry; his hasn't left the program. I couldn't stop staring. It was almost as if I wanted to know his every thought. He can be so mysterious at times. Then, my eyes fixated on his lips. Pink and slightly pump. Harry's a very sexy guy and you think I would be accustomed to this view by now; but it can still be unbelievable how angelic someone looks. I let out a sigh, the closed my eyes.

"Boo?"

"Yes, Haz?" My eyes remained closed.

"Would you like to sleep in here with me tonight?" Resisting was not an option. I've missed him more than anything and I find this the wrong time for any bonds to be broken. I nodded and assumed he felt the gesture when a smile appeared on the corner of his lips. We laid back and the blanket he kept nearby was now being placed over us. He laid on my chest; legs intertwined. I kissed him on the forehead. "Goodnight, Lou." His voice was drifting off.

"Night, Haz."
