Harry's Pov.
•Flashback
Liam and I were the only ones in the studio, seeing as Lou, Niall, and Zayn went out for lunch. We had been writing a song all the day and wanted to finish, so we can start the recording process. Liam sat up on the table; he had on a violet sweater, as well as his hood over his head. He wasn't feeling well and I knew I would be soon to catch his cold, since I've been hanging around him so much, lately.
"Harry, I think we should take a break. I'm feeling overwhelmed and having hot flashes."
I chucked a bit. "Maybe you should take that sweater off."
"Then I'll feel cold." He concluded.
"Alright, mate." He got off the table and sat next to me on the couch, legs crossed; he was turned in my direction and I could tell he was working up the courage to ask something.
"So, how are things with you and Louis?" I saw it coming. I let out a nervous laugh, then rubbed the back of my neck. I couldn't lie and I stutter a lot when I attempt to. It was no use.
"Well, pretty much the same. He's still Lou."
"That's not what I meant, Haz. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that you have feelings for him beyond a normal friendship. Does he know?" He hit it right on the nail and knew everything to a T. There was no point in arguing against it now.
"No." My head was down, eyes focused on my fidgeting fingers.
"Is it...just a crush? Like a phase?" He leaned down a bit, eyes trying to meet mine. I glanced at him for a bit, kind of giving me a hint as to what I was going to say. He let out a small gasp. "You're in love with him, aren't you?"
"Y-yes, but, please, I want to tell him when the time is right."
"Love waits for no one. The moment you feel it, let it show. There's never a right or wrong time. Just live in the moment. You should tell him." He was right, but it was a touchy subject and I didn't know how to approach Louis. It would probably come off completely left field, though there's been more than enough signs thrown his way.
"Thanks, Li."
"Anytime, mate."
•End of flashback
I sat in the back seat of the van, staring out the window. We were making our way to the label to have a talk with Simon, management, and a few of the executives. None of us were sure what to expect, or what was going to be thrown our way, but I wasn't in the mood for recording, touring, or any type of promotional work. Usually, music is an outlet, a way to escape life's struggle; however, it just wasn't working this time around. A musical piece was missing.
Zayn sat next to me, head leaning against the window. His eyes were slightly puffy and his quiff wasn't standing as high as usual. It was relaxed, though not done, professionally. His blonde-highlighted tip was curled and rested on his forehead. Louis and Niall sat in the mid-section. Niall was being distant again; he hasn't spoken much since we've been awake. He wasn't in bed when we woke up; we found him in the bathroom, crying. Lou, of course, tried to counsel him, but he wasn't in the mood for a lecture.
Paul drove into the parking lot of Syco and parked at the entrance. Louis opened the slide door right away and we all made our way out. The walk to the automatic doors was a bit slow, seeing as we all weren't ready to face these people. The lobby had a rather long hall that led to a few different directions, the floor was marble and shined to the very core, allowing us to see our own reflections. The receptionist occupied the front desk and she waved, as we made our way onto one of the elevators. Zayn pressed the button leading to the sixth floor. That's where most our business meetings were handled; honestly, there's still several floors we've never been on.
