Stiles went out of the room to call his dad, and ask him where the hell he was. It was getting late, and they've been in enough near-death experiences to know that anything could happen at any moment. Malia stayed in his room, she sat on the bed, impatient. She was so eager to find out about the incident, she didn't want to wait another second. Stiles had been on the phone to his dad. The Sheriff was absolutely fine, and told Stiles not to be worried. Stiles had walked back into his room to find Malia standing over near his desk. It looked like she was reading something. Stiles started walking over to her. "What's that?" he asked with a smile, trying to make up to her. As he stood beside her and glanced over at what she was reading he realised exactly what it was. "Malia I-" he said as he started to explain. "Nothing?" "She's my friend?" Malia repeated in a tone so profoundly hurt and angry. Malia had been reading the letter that Stiles wrote for Lydia, along with one of her drawings. "How long have you.. loved her?" she could barely get the words out. "Well since the third grade" Stiles blurted out before even thinking. "Look Malia, I was going to tell you" he needed to explain. Especially now, it was too late not to say anything. "There's no need to explain, this letter says it all" Malia said before he could start pathetically apologising. Stiles didn't know what to say, he couldn't possibly think of the correct thing to say right now. "Well, there's no point in.. this or...us, if you feel that way about her" Malia only just managed to get out. "Wait, why did you even wait that long? She only just starts taking notice of you and you still feel that way about her? Why?" she asked. "I don't know why she didn't notice me sooner, alright?" he said, getting really mad at how Malia was starting to speak about Lydia. "She probably didn't even notice me" Stiles said. "Then she's stupid" Malia said hoping this would make things a lot better, and that hopefully he saw how 'stupid' Lydia was for ignoring him. "Stupid?" He was getting more angry with each word that came out of Malia's mouth. "Stupid?" he repeated, she just called Lydia Martin stupid. "Lydia is probably the smartest person I know, alright? She is an absolute genius, she's incredibly freaking smart" he said loudly to Malia. "I guess she wasn't stupid enough to immediately makeout with someone she literally just met" he was clearly hinting that this was Malia's tactic to get with him in the first place.
