Whispers coax my ears as a voice urges me to drink. Parting my lips, I do, and then reality fades out again. This continues for an indescribable amount of time. I drift in and out. In and out. Sometimes I hear voices, see light, and others times, there is nothing but darkness. All the while, my body suffers an unimaginable anguish built into Papa Tunde's blade. It's during another drift to reality, I can only presume, that a wretched pain strikes me paralyzed for a moment. And then...it's gone.

This time when light appears behind my eyelids, I flutter them open. A ceiling greets my vision, but this is a ceiling I know. I'm in my bedroom. With a groan, I blink and move to sit up. The room spins for a moment before I manage to settle myself against the pillows. A glance to my right confirms that the blade was removed from Klaus. It rests upon the nightstand while Klaus gasps in pain beside me. Elijah looks between us anxiously. When he notices my return to consciousness, a little breath of relief falls from his lips.

My eyes fall onto Cami, who stands beside Elijah and watches all of us with curiosity and fear. She tries to smile at me, obviously uncomfortable. I attempt to return the effort, but my body is worn out. Falling against the headboard, I roll my head to the side, watching Klaus. His eyes are open, but the blade's effects must still be in place as he seems almost paralyzed. I reach for his hand, placing mine on top of his. I feel his fingers twitch in response. He's safe. Klaus is safe. I fight the battle to give in and return to sleep. No, I can't do that. Not yet. So instead, I look to Elijah with questions in my eyes.

Elijah meets my gaze with a nod. "You've been cured of the werewolf venom. While you were," he coughs, "otherwise occupied, I fed you Klaus's blood." His eyes fall to the floor for a moment. "I am sorry, Liliana. I didn't mean to make you a causality of this fight, but I couldn't let Klaus harm Rebekah." Elijah shifts his gaze to Klaus, who seems to glare back at him. "I plan to find a witch to unlink you two amongst finding Celeste and ending this. So in the meantime, Cami has agreed to look over the both of you. She'll feed Klaus throughout the day. Since her blood is laced with vervain, it will slow him down. As for you, I conjured up some blood bags." Elijah reaches behind him on the nightstand, grabbing three blood bags and placing them in front of me. With more effort than I care to admit, I reach for one. Elijah takes this as a cue and turns to address Klaus. "Niklaus, it was not my desire to bring you pain, but I will not see you hurt Rebekah."

He moves to leave, but Klaus stops him as he mumbles his name. "Elijah." Klaus's words are strained but coherent enough. Elijah leans in to hear Klaus's faint words. "You will pay for this."

This seems to send a chill down Elijah's spine as he tenses for a moment, but then he stands, and off he goes. At Elijah's exit, I look to Cami. She seems to read my look and nods, sliding up the sleeve of her shirt, baring her wrist to Klaus. "Wow, things I never thought I'd be doing-- feeding a vampire. My 16-year-old self would think I'm really cool right now."

The comment makes me smile as I sip on the blood bag, thankful for the fuel and the taste. Klaus is hungry too as he latches onto Cami's wrist. She winces. I frown. "Hey, slow down," I tell him. Klaus complies and releases Cami's wrist.

"Doesn't the vervain burn?" Cami asks him.

Klaus breaths hastily. The effects of the blade's magic still deep within him. "As you may have yet to realize, Cami, the line between what brings us pain and what sustains us is far thinner than one imagines."

Cami raises a brow at this, processing. I can see her psychologist side coming out, but I interrupt before she can respond. I need to talk to Klaus. "Cami, would you give us a minute?" I ask. She nods and is quick to exit the room. Following her leave, I drain the other two blood bags before I turn toward Klaus.
