Watching the sun set through the hotel window, I trace shapes across Klaus's skin. My finger follows a trail across the center of his chest as I make a star. Klaus smiles down at me, his fingers running through my hair as we lay together peacefully. After spending the whole day together in bed, we're relishing in our last few moments together before I have to leave. I'm spending the night in Anna's suite with Jess and Viv as tomorrow is the wedding. The plan is for it to be a much tamer girl's night than we typically have. I'm excited for it, but now that Klaus is here, I'm not ready to leave him yet.

A long sigh drifts from Klaus's lips as his fingers glide down my hair and to the bare skin of my back. The lightness of which he brushes my skin makes me shiver. "It's almost time for you to go, Love."

"I know," I drag the words out, pressing my cheek against his shoulder. "But I'm not ready to move yet."

"Hmm," Klaus hums. "As much I would like to stay here like this, I think if you don't start getting ready to go now, Jess will be knocking on our door soon enough." I laugh quietly at this, smiling to myself. He's right. She would do that.

"Ugh, fine." I groan, sitting up. Klaus watches me from his position, laying on his back. His eyes dance across my naked body. I smirk. "Keep looking at me like that and I'm not sure I'll be able to leave." Klaus echoes my smirk, leaning forward to brush his lips across mine. I scowl at the tease of a kiss.

"If we start again, I'm not sure I could stop myself, Love." He brushes a strand of hair back behind my ear. When he begins to pull away, I grab his hand and place a kiss to the center of his palm. His eyes lock with mine and the love that shines through them has my heart racing. Innately, we start to lean towards each other, our lips just about to touch when my phone rings. We both recoil at the sound, and I groan.

Shifting out of bed, I walk across the room to where my clutch from last night sits and dig out my phone. When I see the caller I.D., I start laughing. Glancing back at Klaus over my shoulder, who raises a brow, I answer the phone. "Hi, Jess."

"Hey, Lily. I'm just calling to make sure you remember to come to Anna's tonight. With Klaus in town, I know you might be a bit distracted."

"Hmm, distracted is one way to put it, sure," I laugh. "But don't worry, I'm about to get ready now. I'll be up to the room in an hour."

"Good. See you then, Lilypad!" Jess says before hanging up. I roll my eyes at nickname.

"Yes, on with it, Lilypad," Klaus jokes from the bed as I put my phone down. I throw a mock glare at him before I head to the bathroom for a shower. His laughter follows me.

...

Dressed in a light blue silk pajama set, I have my bag all ready for tonight and tomorrow. As Klaus is showering, I use the mirror by the closet to braid my hair. When I finish, I venture back to the main area to double check that I have everything I'll need for the wedding tomorrow. Thankfully, Jess has my dress and shoes, so I'll get that from her tonight.

As I zip my bag close, my phone rings again. Rolling my eyes, I shake my head. It's probably Jess, checking in on me again. With an amused smile, I pick up the phone. But my smile drops when I see the Caller I.D. Instead of the amusement I felt a moment ago, my body fills with worry. I'm quick to answer the phone.

"Stefan?"

There's a pause before I hear his voice. "Hey, Lils."

"Oh my god, Stefan. What the hell? Where are you? Are you safe? What have you been doing? Why aren't you answering my calls? Caroline said you're looking for a way to save Damon and Bonnie, did you find anything? Where-"
