CW/TW: swearing, slight gore ig (talk abt bruises and blood)
Tommy POV:
I did not like America.
Shouldn't have let Tubbo drag me along with him to see his friend Ranboo. Now we're in a fucking apocalypse. I bet the UK is doing just fine right now.
We were originally in Nebraska, now I don't even know where we are. We started walking about a week ago, Ranboo thinks we might be Arkansas, which is apparently not spoken like it's spelled.
"I hate it here." I said. "Shut up Tommy you've already said that like fifty times today." Tubbo growled at me. I rolled my eyes.
"Why did you make me come here anyways?" I asked. "I didn't make you come here, you volunteered to come with me, you said you'd punch Ranboo if he was mean to me." Tubbo retorted.
"And I still stand by that." I replied, looking back at Ranboo who walked behind us. He was just looking at the ground kicking rocks. No reply.
"I bet back home is doing fine. I bet that they don't have to deal with dead people trying to eat them." I kept rambling. "I bet that they're just doing their jobs and going on with their lives while ours are going to end in days."
Tubbo stopped walking. "Shut up Tommy! You don't get it. Everyone is affected by this! No one is happy right now. And honestly, I would mind if you got eaten right now."
I was in shock. I looked back at Ranboo who had put a comforting hand on Tubbos shoulder. He was so much taller than Tubbo I almost wanted to laugh. But I didn't.
"Aren't you going to say anything?" I asked Ranboo.
"No. I'm not getting in the middle of your stupid petty fights." He responded.
Everything was silent for the next few minutes. We agreed to continue our walk, only this time it was in silence.
The next day when we started our walk again we noticed something was a bit off. Everything had been more quiet than usual, and no it wasn't because I had decided to shut up.
Then we heard a scream.
"Where did it come from?" Tubbo yelped. Ranboo pointed in a random direction and Tubbo started sprinting.
"What are you doing Tubbo?" I yelled, running after him, Ranboo not that much far ahead of me.
"What if that person is still alive? We could try and help them!" He responded, starting to sprint faster.
"With what?" Ranboo replied, running faster trying to catch up with Tubbo who was a lot faster than he looked.
We sprinted thirds a clearing in a patch of wood, the grass had been overgrown and I could tell the mobs had already been here. But what sat in the center of the field is what surprised me the most.
It was a child.
Tubbo has already crouched down next to the child and was talking to it.
I walked closer so I could here what he was talking about.
"What's your name?" Tubbo Asked. The child looked at him with fear in his eyes, pushing himself away when Tubbo tried to reach out and brush the hair out of his face to see his eyes.
"My name is Micheal." He eventually responded. "That a lovely name. My name is Tubbo, the really tall man is Ranboo, and the annoying one is Tommy." I was offended to say the least, but Micheal let out a small giggle.
"Where are your parents?" Ranboo Asked, stirring down next to Micheal, but far enough away so he didn't have to move away himself.
"They left me, my dad hit me in the eyes with his gun and now I can't see out of it and it hurts." The kid was just spewing everything now, almost like confidentiality didn't matter in the least.
"Can I see your eye?" Tubbo Asked. Micheal nodded, pushing his hair up past his forehead to show a nasty bloodied bruise on his right eye.
"Well I don't have any bandages right now but we can see if there is a store that hasn't been raided of all Madi or supplies yet and see what we can do to patch you up okay." Tubbo said reassuring Micheal.
"How old are you Micheal, I forgot to ask." Tubbo said, standing up, giving Micheal his hand so he could get up easier. "I'm five." Tubbo just nodded.
Micheal grabbed onto Tubbo's hand and didn't let go for hours. Only letting go to sleep.
I didn't mind having Micheal around, he was kind of like a little brother, one I never had because I am an only child. We kept walking until we came across a large gate with several signs that read "DANGER" and "TURN AROUND THIS IS GOVERNMENT PROPERTY" I laughed. Not like the government mattered anymore.
We walked inside the gate and into one of the big buildings and right when we walked in there were these giant tubes, probably a hundred or so lined next to each other, held on their side by tables and hooks.
Then Tubbo yelled.
"NUKES!"
