Karl POV:

I woke up from a dreamless sleep. I looked beside me and saw Sapnap still sleeping, his arm around me. It felt nice, it really did.

I lay there staring at the ceiling, wondering. Wondering about how Quackity is, god Quackity. He might be dead, he might be alive, but I don't know that and it's freaking me out and I can't handle knowing that he might not be safe and-

I almost immediately got cut of by Sapnap who just ran his fingers through my hair and whispered, "stop worrying. I can practically sense it Karl. We're going to to talk to Wilbur and see if we can leave today to see if we can find any trace of Quackity. Remember?"

I breathed in and nodded slightly. "What time is it?" I asked. "Dunno, don't have a watch. But George does." Sapnap replies, moving out of the bed and onto the ground, standing. I felt cold, I never liked that feeling.

"Like Dream's ever going to let you touch George." I said in a warning him. He just smiled and walked over to the other side of the house. I could see his crouch down and look at what George's watch. Dream suddenly grabbed his wrist and said something to him. They spoke back and forth until Dream let Sapnaps wrist go and Sap made his way back over to me.

I rolled over on my side and looked up at Sapnap. "Time?" I asked. "Uhhh, seven forty eight is what I'm guessing, it was seven forty three when I went over, don't know how long Dream and I were talking though." He replied.

"What did Dream say?"
"Doesn't matter Karl, doesn't apply to you."

I'm confused now. I mean I don't really care what Dream said, I just want to know. I flopped back over and closed me eyes again, ignoring Sapnap and his attempts to get me out of bed.

I'm pretty sure I went back to sleep since I was awoken by Sapnap shaking me and saying, "It's ten a.m. wake up."

"Stop." I said, "why you're you waking me up so violently?" "It was either shake you awake or drag you out of bed, I thought you would've had a better reaction to the first one." He replied, I just stared him down.

"C'mon were going to go talk to Wilbur." He held out his hand, and I took it. We walked to the house we had been brought to last night, Wilbur's house. Sapnap know knocked on the door.

A woman with bright blonde hair appeared in the doorway. "Hello I'm Niki." She said cheerily, holding her hand out. We shook her hand and Sapnap started speaking, "May we speak to Wilbur. We have to ask him a question."

Niki nodded and let us into the house. "I'm going to get him." She said as she disappeared down the hallway. Sapnap and I stood there for a few minutes before Wilbur returned.

"You had a question for me?" He asked. Sapnap started to speak before being cut of by the mandating in front of us.

"We can go to my office." He turned and walked up the stairs, Sapnap and I followed.

We walked into his office, it was pretty bare and only had a desk, a chair, and some empty built in bookshelves attached to the walls.

"So what is your question?" Wilbur asked, sitting down in his chair. "We had a friend of ours be left behind right in front of the border and we were wondering if we could leave to see if we can retrieve him." Sapnap replied.

"That's only if he's still alive though." Wilbur said. "Yes we understand, but that man is Karl's best friend and he hasn't been dealing with it that well."
"And both my brothers left me, guess what life happens."
"Didn't Tommy return though. I mean he came with us."

Wilbur went silent.

"Fine," he said. "You can leave for an hour, a guard will be placed at the gates, you will be given a walkie talkie so they can tell you when to return. I don't want an attack on my land that is meant to be kept at peace and only at peace. Or at least into my father and brother come."

"I guess both your brothers came back. Your excuse was invalid." I said, burying into the conversation. Wilbur just shot me a glare. "Sorry, Sorry." I whispered.

Wilbur nodded and motioned for Sapnap and I to leave. "Oh, and by the way, be at the gate by eleven a.m. don't be late, if you are, you don't get to retrieve you friend that's just a lost cause at this point, understand?" Wilbur asked.

We nodded our heads and left. I felt a little bit better, knowing that I was doing something to help find Q. And I really hope that he's able to forgive me when I do.
