🕊Chapter Twenty-Seven: Meal Prepping 🕊
🕊🕊🕊
The next morning came, and of course, Alaina had to curse me, and I woke up late, "Damnit! I overslept!" I ran around my dorm room, getting partially dressed in my uniform as I ran downstairs, my button-up undone and I hurriedly knotted my tie to save time before running to the dining area, while I tried to pull on my school blazer. I skidded to a stop, seeing Yukio and Alaina sitting next to each other with their breakfast already finished.
"Oh, good morning, Rin."
Alaina smiled, laughing slightly at my incomplete attire. "'Morning, Rin," She greeted, waving her hand slightly as she leaned forward to see me from behind Yukio.
I ignored the rising heat on my cheeks and glared at four-eyes, "C'mon, man! Why didn't you wake me up?!"
Yukio laughed at me, "I tried three separate times, but you wouldn't move. I figured you must've been pretty wiped out, so I just let you sleep in."
I scowled at him and walked over, slipping my other arm through my blazer sleeve, "I don't care if you're playing the good brother, tomorrow try four times!" I sat down across my Yukio, seeing a tray of food already set out. I put my hands together, gratefully saying, "Thanks for breakfast," Before picking up my bowl of rice, beginning to stuff my face.
"Shouldn't the two of you go?"
I paused from eating to reply, "I gotta fuel up. I'm running a marathon third period." I lifted the bowl of rice back to my face, shoveling rice in my mouth.
Yukio smiled awkwardly, picking up his tray as he stood up, "Well, I'm gonna start heading out. Don't eat so fast, Rin. At the pace you're eating, you're going to pop."
I glared at him, pausing in my eating, "What the hell are you, my mom?"
Alaina smiled, laughing softly, "Yukio's right, Rin. If you eat too fast, you'll get sick." She stood up with her tray, walking over to the kitchen window. "And before you ask; Yes. I practically am your mom." She chuckled at her joke, but I couldn't be concerned about the lame attempt at a joke.
I stared at her from over the bowl in front of my face, the dish covering the blush on my face. 'What the hell is with me?! She's not acting any different towards me, so why the hell am I so flustered?!'
"Try not to take too long. I want to get a Yakisoba Bun for lunch before everyone else gets there, and I don't want your slow butt to prevent me from getting one." She laughed, setting her tray down before hurriedly leaving the dining area, waving at me before she left, "See ya, Rin!"
I stared as she left, the bowl still in front of my face. I finished my bowl of rice not long after she left, setting it down on the tray. I stared into the empty bowl, single grains of rice stuck on the inside, "What the hell... Do I really like her?..."
I sighed and picked up my tray, walking it over to the kitchen window, placing it next to the other two from Yukio and Alaina's breakfast, "Thanks for the meal,"

The bell rang, signaling that lunch had begun. Alaina and I made our way outside to the student store as fast as we could, but an entire crowd had already formed. Alaina stopped next to me, seeing the crowd that formed, "Aw, man. We're late,"
I scowled at the crowd, dashing forward and through the crowd to the center, where the last Yokisoba Bun's were being held. "I gotchya!" I shouted, grabbing onto the wrapped bun. But of course, another hand had to grab it as well. I looked up, seeing the two-toned hair and piercings. "S-Suguro!"
