Not the Best Pancakes

Nico POV

"Get up! Get up!" an ecstatic southern accent yelled. I felt a hand on my shoulder shaking me awake.

I opened one eye and was met with two blue ones. I swiftly closed my eyes.

"C'mon Neeks! Chop chop! We're going to the mall today!"

"The mall? But I just wanna sleep!" I said groggily.

Will slid one arm onto the back of my shoulders and the other behind my kneecaps. He then proceeded to pick me up bridal style.

"Put! Me! Down!" I shouted, kicking and squirming, trying to be free of his grasp.

"Not until you agree to go to the mall with me," he said with a beaming smile.

I stubbornly crossed my arms and shook my head.

"C'mon pleeeeaaaaasssssseeeeee!"

I rolled my eyes before replying with "fine. But only to stop you from being so annoying!"

"Works every time," Will said with a smirk.

He exited my bedroom with me still in his arms. "Hey! You said you were gonna put me down!"

"I never said when I was gonna put you down, did I?"

I was about to say 'no', but decided against it, not wanting to satisfy him. So I instead responded with an over-dramatic huff.

As Will carried me down the stairs, an amazing smell consumed my nose. "What is that--" I started but was cut short.

"That smell is from my amazing pancakes that I just finished making."

"You can cook?" I asked once Will sat me down on a chair.

"Mhmm," he responded while handing me a plate with dos pancakes.

I excitedly snatched one pancake and stuffed it in my mouth, hoping it tasted as good as it smelled--I was wrong. I practically choked on the flavor.

"You like it?" Will asked eagerly.

Not usually being one to sugarcoat things, I answered bluntly. "I've got to say, I thought this was actually gonna be good, but it was just awful and I honestly feel bad for my tongue."

"Gee you could have said 'You know Will, they're good but they could be better,'" he retorted.

"Whatever, the point is I'm doin' the cooking for now on."

"Well you could have cooked breakfast in the first place but you were asleep so whose fault is that?"

I just stuck my tongue out at him and went to the fridge to find something actually decent to eat. A warm arm wrapped around my waist and I practically melted at the touch.

"Let's go now," Will said.

"Where are we going again?"

"To the mall."

"And why did I agree to this?"

"Because I'm your boyfriend and you'd do anything for me."

I couldn't help but smile at his response. Will gave me a quick kiss before pulling me by the hand to his car.

Once we were buckled up, I heard a *ding* from Will's phone. And then *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding*

"Oh my god just shut up!" he shouted at his phone. Going through the texts, he became wide-eyed.

"Annabeth and Percy broke up!" Will said immediately.

"What? I thought they would end up getting married!"

"I know right! I wonder what happened. Let's see, Leo said Percy broke up with Annabeth. Annabeth said that as well. Umm Jason said Annabeth broke up with Percy. Piper said Percy cheated on Annabeth and Rachel said Annabeth cheated on Percy."

"Why do people spread so many rumors?" I asked.

"No idea but it's annoying. Anyways, who cares what happened with them. I have a whole day planned for us at the mall."

"I swear if we're just gonna be shopping the whole day, I'm gonna scream."

"Don't worry, I have other stuff planned. But first, we're gonna shop."

So I ended up writing two chapters today because I haven't updated for like a week.
