A young girl sat patiently in the hokages office. At first glance, she looked like your typical ninja, nothing special. But if you looked deeper, your view of her would change vastly.
I smiled to myself as the patter of the rain came to a slow stop, I wrapped the bandage I had to wear over my eyes due to a recent injury getting ready to head toward the hokages office, she had a very specific mission for me. "Alright, we should get a move on Yosuke." The small brown and white dog barked jumping into my arms waiting to be placed on my head.
I walked out to the kitchen and was faced with my mother and sister, "I'll be home in a bit, lady Tsunade needs me for an extra special mission."
My mother nodded with a mouth full of food while my sister said nothing. My brother wasn't home yet to say goodbye.
I listened closely to everyone and everything around me, it allowed me to see differently. I could hear and smell extremely well so I was okay not using my eyes for now.
I waved shino to come toward me hearing his familiar footsteps coming up behind me, I knew exactly where he was.
"Hey, Shino!" I chirped happily hearing my oldest friend. "Good morning, Masako." He replied in his normal voice. "So did you just get back from your mission?" I questioned continuing my walk towards the office.
"Yeah, not even a scratch on me," He bragged. "That's good to hear," I smiled up at him happy he was back safe. We walked together the rest of the way, apparently, he was headed the same place I was to give a battle report.
I hesitantly pushed the door open hearing 3 unfamiliar figures moving around on the other side of the door.
"Ah, Masako! We were just talking about you, come on in." Lady Tsunade clasped her hands together, "due to the last attack on the sand village many medical ninjas were lost, they didn't have many, to begin with. As my star pupil, your mission will be to train a new generation of young medical ninja for the village hidden in the sand."
My jaw dropped, sand and I don't have a good history why would she choose me for this? I tend to lose my footing, im just an absolute mess when it comes to sand. I'd be going there in worse shape than I already am.
"No?" I questioned hoping she was making a joke.
"Well, that's awkward," a male's voice mumbled from the left side of the room.
"Sakura doesn't have enough training for something like this. You have been training under me months longer than her. After her training is complete, if you still hate the idea I will send her in your place and you can come back." Her tone was serious as if she was scolding a young child.
"Fine," I growled tired of her already.
"Then it's set! Pack your things, you leave in an hour." She had a happy tone, how annoying.
"We will meet you by the gate then." A girl's voice came from the same area as the males.
I didn't respond as I turned around to leave, I quickly walked to my home not far from lady Tsunade's office.
I threw all my important things such as weapons and pictures into my bag along with other things that held sentimental value.
I shoved some food bars and food pills into my ninja bag along with extra medical supplies before hugging my mother and sister goodbye. The Hokage had gotten their permission for this mission.
I gently knocked on Kibas door earning a come in, I peeped my head in to make sure it was safe before coming in. "Boy you stink," I snickered sitting beside him on his bed. "I'm leaving..." I mumbled not wanting to have this conversation with him.
