We walked the rest of the way back home to the sand village, it took a total of a little over a week to get back making our whole trip about 2 weeks and 4 days.
I'm not sure how long we were supposed to be gone but it probably wasn't this long.
The now black cylinder was shoved in my backpack, we were right outside the gates of the city, "so you really remember nothing?" I asked him hoping he didn't. "Nope, nothin" he shrugged.
"And ya know, If you were always this cooperative we could get a lot of missions done." He admitted making me glare at him, "I could say the same to you."
Of course, we still argued but it felt like more of a friendly thing, it no longer got to the point of fist fighting.
"Well, let's go deal with Gaara and Temari." He sighed knowing they would have 101 questions.
"Yep, let's get a move on."
We walked into the village and headed straight for the house.
"You know, for what it's worth, I didn't absolutely hate working with you," I admitted to him.
"I agree, it could have been worse. Too bad the mission was a bust." He didn't remember anything which I found odd.
After telling Gaara about the mission being a fail I gave him the cracked cylinder now black, I wandered off towards my room having a feeling Temari would be waiting for me.
I was right.
"So, give me every single detail." She wasn't much for gossip but right now she looked like a 12-year-old in the academy.
"Temari, after I tell you I have something to talk to you about." My tone was serious, I was never serious with Temari.
I told her about the first fight we had, and then about how he forgot food and dumped out my gourd and how I dumped out his. She listened intensely wanting every single detail.
I explained about the city of love and the magic coin along with how I woke up in his arms, she seemed to really love that part. I told her about our 3 days walk into the town only to find out it was a bust.
"And what was the serious thing?" She questioned moving closer, I put my head on her lap getting ready to explain the weird dream-like thing.
"While we were in the throne room, I picked up this odd bring blue cylinder, it had a minor crack in it, and next thing I know I woke up years in the future..."
She gave me an odd look, "what happened in the future?" She questioned wanting more of the details.
"And when I woke up... You know what, maybe I shouldn't share it..." I got nervous about her reaction.
"You have to tell me now!" She pleaded to make me feel bad.
"When I woke up in the room, Kankuro was there with me along with a kid named Kanturo..." She listened intensely wanting every single word to stick in her brain.
"He was me and Kankuros kid, you also had one with s-" I decided not to ruin her future in case that part was real.
"Someone, everyone from the hidden leaf was much older and many had kids, im not sure why I saw all that. But me and Kankuro had a huge fight and right before we woke up we kissed..."
"And?" I swear her eyes were about to pop out of her head, "I... I don't know, I think I liked it. I'm sure all of this was just some weird jutsu held in that tube thing or a poison gas. There is no way in hell id fall for your brother..." I was now deep in thought.
"Maybe it was that, but you enjoyed it nonetheless." She smiled widely. "Ha! We are gonna be sisters one day!" She cheered making me uncomfortable, no way id ever fall in love with him. That's just crazy.
"All dreams have meaning, you might not be able to see it yet but eventually im sure you will be able to understand it." She tried to comfort me but the idea of liking Kankuro was disturbing far beyond words.
"Does he remember any of that?" She questioned making me shake my head no.
"I hope you can figure all that out on your own, get some rest, it's well deserved.
Temari reported everything except the kissing part to Gaara who had asked for the details. It shocked him a bit, he had no idea the 'artifact' would do that, he had no idea what it did that's why he wanted it before anyone else found it for the wrong reason.
As promised, he asked granny Chiyo to train her, he knew she would be an amazing apprentice. After a month she finished training her first group of 3, they became an amazing medical ninja, but nowhere near her level. The months passed as she trained under her while also teaching three students for six months, in her two and a half years in the sand village she had trained only fifteen exceptional students.
Kankuro and her were not friends but they didn't try to kill each other every ten seconds, on missions they worked well without a hitch. The months flew by until it was finally time for her to head home, she was accompanied by Temari to the leaf village, she was also going as the messenger to talk about the chunin exams which Shikamaru would be in charge of.
