Ackerman Journal Entry #75

A bond formed with a chosen host is a double-edged sword. It is the bond that produces the strongest Ackerman, but it is also fragile. Since a chosen bond is formed out of emotions, when the relationship between the Ackerman and the host changes, this will affect the bond.

-E. Ackerman

You spent the rest of the afternoon tossing and turning in your bed. Trying to catch up on the sleep you lost from overthinking what happened at the tower. Trying not to dwell on the possibility of Historia being Levi's fated host.

Sighing, you got up and went to the bath room. Splashing cold water on your face to wake yourself up, you jumped when you heard a knock on the door. Quickly grabbing a towel, you patted your face dry before opening the door to your room.

You blinked at Moblit's solemn expression. "Moblit." You greeted him with a small smile. "Do you need me for something?" Moblit sighed, staring you straight in the eye with an exhausted look. "Commander Erwin needs you in his office. He wants you to...talk to Captain Levi." Moblit explained, helping you with your jacket.

You closed the door behind you with a soft thud. Absentmindedly following Moblit to Erwin's office. "Talk to him about what?" You asked, a blank look in your eyes. "I honestly don't know, Y/N. I was just delivering some documents to the Commander's office when he asked me to call for you." Moblit replied.

Reaching Erwin's office, Moblit raised a fist against his door, knocking on it before opening it to let you in. Walking inside, you observed the tense atmosphere inside the room. Erwin had his palms on top of the table, a stern expression on his usually calm and kind face. Levi was standing across from him, his hands clenched into fists at his side as he glared at his Commander.

"You called for me, Commander?" You said, giving Erwin a firm salute as Levi whipped his head towards you. Erwin sighed, sitting back down behind his desk as he glanced between you and Levi. "Yes, Y/N. I apologize for calling you out here in such a rush." Erwin said, a warm smile back in his face.

You shook your head, ignoring Levi's intense gaze. "Not at all. I was just in my room waiting for dinner." You replied bluntly. "How may I help?" You asked, walking over to the couch as Erwin offered you to sit down.

"I was just informing Levi of the Military Police's request for him to-" Erwin started to explain when Levi cut him off. Walking towards you as he leaned down to cover your ears, preventing you from hearing the rest of Erwin's words.

You frowned, pulling his hand away from your ears. "Levi. Don't be rude." You murmured, pulling him to sit beside you instead. "You don't need to listen to this bullshit. They're just doing whatever the fuck they want." Levi gritted through his teeth, refusing to let go of your hand as he squeezed it tight.
