A/N: Sorry for the long wait. But here's a longer than usual chapter. ♥️

The village was bustling with noise and cheer as they celebrated the Queen's Coronation Day. It was loud and festive outside the Scout Regiment but the silence was deafening inside its walls.  Members were filing out of the building to attend the Queen's crowning ceremony with solemn faces.

It is unusual for every Scout to attend an event that has nothing to do with the organization. Usually, only the higher positions need to attend, but that is not the case this time. Levi Ackerman, a renowned Squad Captain, will vow his life through a blood pact to Historia Reiss as his Fated Host. It is an auspicious event to everyone else but the very few who knew of the bond between you and Levi.

Seth sat inside a carriage, staring blankly at the note you left him. Its edges worn out and the paper stained. The small parchment containing a single sentence has been read over a hundred times for the past few days and yet, despite reading it over and over again, he couldn't understand what it meant.

Take care, I'm sorry. The crumpled-up paper said in your lazy script. "What the fuck are you thinking, Y/N?" Seth murmured, gripping the parchment in his hands with a frown. "Where have you disappeared off to?"

The door to the carriage opened to reveal a sleep deprived Hange and an exhausted Moblit. "Still nothing?" Hange muttered as they got up the carriage, Moblit following after them. Seth shook his head, carefully tucking the note back into the pocket of his coat. "The cadets lost track of her just inside Wall Sina. And every messenger we sent to the Palace was denied entry to protect the Queen from threats." He replied, pinching the bridge of his nose as Hange sat back down exhausted.

"This is all my fault." They murmured weakly. "I knew she was acting weird that day. If only I stopped her for a moment..." Hange drifted off, closing their eyes as they leaned on the carriage window. "What the hell happened between those two?"

Moblit took out a piece of paper, handing it to Seth with an exhausted smile. "Y/N usually handles this but since your interim Captain in her absence... This is what we observed from the Ape Titan's movements." Moblit explained as Seth read through the document. "I'll check it later. Hopefully, she'll show up by then and take her workload off my back." He retorted as Moblit chuckled weakly.

"You didn't hear from Levi as well?" Seth asked Hange who shook their head. "Nothing. I was going to ask Erwin but he has been visiting the Palace frequently as well." They replied with a pout before groaning frustratedly. "Why is everyone acting so suspiciously?! It makes me want to rip my hair out!" Hange yelled as Moblit tried to take their fingers off the hair he tied up into a sleek ponytail.

"I know. Those fucking idiots make everyone around them worried. The next time I see them I'll tie the two of them together and throw them inside a warehouse and leave them there for days." He muttered, a sadistic grin on his face as Hange nodded their head in approval.
