the journey starts today!
I was ready to take on the first gym leader, Falkner. He specializes in Normal-Type pokémon.
"So Ian, who are you gonna use?" Emilia asked.
"Charizard, Croconaw, and Tyranitar." I answered. "His team is a Slaking, Kangaskahn, and Snorlax." Emilia explained.
"Good, easy prey." I said.
"I hope you do know, the Gojira Festival is coming up in Azalea City."
"What's the Gojira Festival?" I asked. "A celebration where the citizens of Johto give offerings to Gojira, the king of the Titans." Emilia explained. "What if i told you i know what Gojira really is?" I said. "What is it?" Emilia replied. "Does the name Godzilla ring a bell?" I asked. "Oh my Arceus!" She said.
"Calm down! Godzilla hasn't been seen for over a thousand years." I reassured her.
Timeskip to arrival at the gym.
"Welcome! I'm Falkner, nice to meet you!" Falkner introduced. "I'm not here for some tea party, I'm here to beat your ass like an Alolan drum!" I said. "You have quite the attitude, Slaking! Teach him some manners!" Falkner said. "Slak-Slaking!" Slaking yelled as her beat his chest. "Croconaw! Open your eyes, see what lies before you, and fall upon your prey!" I called. "Croconaw!" Croconaw growled.
"Use Hammer Arm!" Falkner ordered. "Use Crunch than hit him with Aqua Tail!" I called as Croconaw sank his fishhook-shaped teeth into Slaking's arm, drawing blood, then decking with him with a tail engulfed in water. Suddenly, Croconaw was engulfed in a bright blue light as he started to change.

"Feralll-Igatr!" Feraligatr roared as it slammed a punch into Slaking' gut, sending the ape into a wall.
"Feraligatr, the Big Jaw Pokémon, a Water-Type. Feraligatr uses its gaping maw as an intimidation tactic. Its powerful legs propel it intova high-speed charge." The Pokédex identified.
"Now! Snorlax come out!" Falkner called. "Snor-Snorlax!" Snorlax said before falling asleep. "Giga Impact!" Falkner ordered. "Mega Punch!" I commanded as Feraligatr threw the punch again which K.O'd Snorlax.
"Kangaskahn! Finish this!" Falkner called. "Kanga-Skahn!" Kangaskahn said. "Feraligatr use Hydro Pump!" I ordered as Feraligatr blasted powerful jets of water. Which K.O'd Kangaskahn.
"Nice work Feraligatr!" I cheered. "Feraligatr!!" Feraligatr said as he chomped on my head. "As proof of your victory here, take the Normal Badge." Falkner formally congratulated.
"Next stop, Azaela City." I said.
Timeskip to that night.
As I looked out at the ocean, I was terrified to see large dorsal plates sticking from thhe surface from hundereds of miles away. "It's Godzilla." I said. "We need to camp in the cave!" Emilia called. "You got the wood?" I replied. "Yeah! Get your cute ass in here!" Emilia shouted.
As soon as the fire was lit, we saw many drawings on the walls of the cave.

"Oh for Arceus sake!" I yelled.
"Godzilla's been around long before humans." Emilia concluded. "Yeah." I replied.
