Noah's P.O.V

~Flashback~

Lena sat by the fire as she stared at Noah's oldest son leaning against a van with two girls. One with red hair and red eyes, the other with blonde hair and purple eyes. The girl with red eyes was leaning against Neo, holding his arm. The other staring at them as if she was cautious of them, she was next to the girl with red eyes. I saw Lena walked up to them, she stood next to the girl with blonde hair as the other looked at her cautiously.

"Excuse me... Y-you haven't eaten anything yet have you? You c-can have mines..." Lena said but she received no response. She tried again, "Y-you don't want it?" Again, she didn't answer her. She looked at the other girl and asked "W-what about you?" Just like the other one she didn't respond. Neo decided to cut in stopping her from asking again. "I already told you they don't need it. Leave them alone."

As he finished speaking he pulled the red haired girl against him as she closed her eyes and her breathing evened out, signifying she's asleep. "Ah... Is that so... I'm sorry..." she said as she went back to where she was previously. "I just...wanted to talk to talk to them a bit more..." she said as she cried silently.

~Flashback end~

"Stop being such a jerk! Aren't we on the same boat? Shouldn't we help each other out? The more people the better, isn't it?" Mana yelled to Ian. "That's not how it works in this situation. Food and water will be scarce if order isn't restored and the undead aren't eradicated." I told her as I begun to think in my head. 'Who would have thought that we would have run into her this early in the Armageddon? But that's to be expected since I kept Neo and Mira with us in this timeline.'

"T-that's right, we alone already have trouble with food and water..." Parish stated when I was done talking. "Talking about food and water, I see a mall in the distance, do you think we should stop by there?" Li asked me. Wyn suddenly pointed at something in the distance as he asked Like "Mall? Do you mean, that mall over there?" Looking over in the distance I saw a mall just like Li mentioned but at the entrance was a hord of zombies staring at us.

Parish looked at where Wym was pointing and was shocked and scared at what was blocking the entrance. "Is that...?" Ian started to say as he continued to stare forward. "It's exactly what you're thinking. Swarming those glass doors are those monsters. The morning the outbreak happened, the mall was having a grand sale. As a result, right now, that mall is now infested with all those monster." Wyn said while also explaining why there are so many monsters inside of the mall.

'Well then I guess I know why there's an exceptional amount of survivors here right now. They got lucky since the majority of the city's population seems to be inside that mall.' I thought to myself. "T-that's impossible, dear. Let's not." Parish said to me  after hearing what Wyn had said. "You say that, but do we really have any other option?" I said to hear as I looked at her from the corner of my eyes.

"We can try other stores around town? I'm sure there's still a lot of things that we can find. It's only been a day!" She said trying to make me reconsider my options. "Actually, the most we have here besides that mall are local convenience stores, which I don't think would have the stuff you're looking for." Wyn said contradicting to Parish statement.

"But hey, if you're really in dire need, we just happen to have some dry food, as long as you left us-" Wyn started but I cut him off. "I hate being in debt." I said after I stopped him from continuing. "Anyway, it doesn't look like we have a lot of options to begin with. We're going for that mall. I do understand the risk of this trip so Li, Parish, Lena, you keep the children safe and stay back." I told them while also giving instructions to the females.
