Chapter 4

Noah P.O.V
Opening my eyes, I saw gold sparkling dust falling down from this black void. Looking up at the gold dust I heard a voice say "You're dying". I looked around to figure out where the voice was coming from, until I looked behind me. I saw a bright light shinning. I turned towards it and started walking, I heard the same mysterious voice again. "Do you want to die"?, the voice said. I continued walking not answering, it said again"Then do you want to live"?

I felt something sticky in my hands. I looked down and saw blood. I felt my shirt get soaked. My eyes widened a bit, until I felt the need to cough.

~Cough, Cough~

I heard that same voice again saying "Do you want to live"?  After coughing, I relied " I do".

"Why do you want to live? The people that you cared for betrayed you... Abandoned you..", the voice said. "The people that cared for you we're betrayed by you... Abandoned by you...", it said. "You've lost everything. What do you want to live for? Who do you want to live for"?, I heard the voice speak again for the third time. When I looked up, I was staring at my reflection, everything looked exactly like me except for the glowing golden orbs. I continued staring back at the reflection in the glass.

~Tik, Tik, Tik~

'Unauthorized access-- detected--', System... override'.

Opening my eyes, I pitched up. Clutching my chest, breathing heavily, I tried to slow down my heart rate.

'Unauthorized module detected.... activated'.

I was still trying to calm myself, after a bit I felt better. Still holding my chest, I was beyond confused on what just took place. "What was that?", I said still trying to figure out what happened. 'It didn't feel the usual pain... And I think I faintly heard another voice.', I thought. Turning to get out of the bed I said,"Never mind that. What time is it right now? It still looks pretty dark outside..."

Getting up I went to get my glasses. I put it on and look at the clock to see '1:50pm'. "Hold on, it's afternoon already? But why would afternoon be so dark. No way...", I said with shock. I slide the balcony door open. When I looked I saw the one thing that I dreaded to happen. The eclipse. 'Before I knew it, the eclipse was already here. And this time, somehow, I was it's only spectator.' I gripped the handle saying,"Don't tell me I slept through the entire morning..."

The Armageddon happened on October 29,20XX. The entire world fell into slumber. Then why am I awake?

'This didn't happen last time... What changed? Am I really the only one awake right now?

I made my way towards the light switch to turn on the light. As soon as I turned on the light I made my way towards Neo and Mira. "Neo? Mira?", I said while shaking them to see if they wake up. 'They're sound asleep, Neo's still cuddling up with her. Let me take a picture and show this to him when he wakes up', I thought. Standing up, I scratch my head lightly while I was thinking,'I didn't hear much noise outside for a monday, aside from some dogs barking. It seems like the eclipse did put everyone into a deep sleep. I wonder if the reason I'm awake is because I came back from the future.'

Looking down I saw the dog that Mira brought up to the room yesterday. He was peeking out and shaking a bit. So I asked him," Care to come out?" It whined softly but still stayed under the bed. 'Seems like the theory that only humans fell asleep during the first apocalypse was true.' I thought while  pulling the covers up a bit more on them. I headed towards the door, I went to check and see if anyone else was awake but they weren't.
