Chapter 19

Third Person P.O.V
Suddenly a blur of red ran past Noah as Mira punched Azalel who flew back into the wall causing a dent to appear behind him. Noah looked at Mira who stood in front of them breathing heavily as a growl escaped her lips. Her eyes glowing red with slits in the middle as she stood in front protecting them. "Stand back. This one isn't normal." Noah told them as he moved in front of Neo. Azael walked forward wobbling slightly as he disappeared. He reappeared besides Mira sending a punch to which she blocked flying back from the force.

"Mira!" Neo shouted her name as he looked at her. Azael heard Neo shout as he came towards them at a very fast speed. 'Fast!' Noah thought as he was unable to move to block. Suddenly Theo appeared in front of them grabbing Azael hand flipping him over his shoulder as his back hit the ground. Theo released his brother taking a step back. "Theo, I got this, you don't have to--" Noah told him as Neo watched as Mira stood up slowly.

"He's my brother. Let me at least take care of him." Theo said as he kept his gaze on his brother who stood up slowly. "... Fine, I understand. Just be careful... This one isn't normal. This guy is faster than normal undead...and even knows how to ambush." Noah warned him as he kept his attention on Theo's brother. 'Are the undead evolving already? That can't be, it's only been a few days...' Noah thought as Azael wobbled. "It's risky to fight him in close range. Don't do what you just did again." Noah told Theo who took a step forward.

Azael dashed towards his brother as Theo quickly picked up the axe that was on the floor. He made an attempt to swing and hit Azael who dodged his attack. Theo stood there confused as he saw the undead avoid his attack. Azael took that chance to slip past Theo and make his way to Neo. Noah noticed that and pulled Neo away just as Mira came and kicked it on it's side as it flew away.

It stood up and attempt to get to Neo again only for Theo to swing the axe. Azael raised up his arm blocking the attack. 'There's no mistake... He can think. It's stuck...' Theo thought as he tried to pull the axe from Abel's arm. He twisted his arm as it tried to strike Theo who moved away last minute. 'That was close.' he thought as he glanced at the tear in his shirt.

Azael raised his arm and pulled the axe out and tossed it on the ground. "Enough." Noah said as Theo glanced at him. Neo looked at Mira and held his hand out towards her as she stood still growling. "It's one thing to let you sort things out with your "brother". It's another when he's clearly aiming for Neo. I'm sorry but I don't want to take any risk. We don't have time to spare. You two go get the door open. We're getting out of here as soon as I can get rid of that thing." Noah told Theo as he grabbed the pocket knife out of his pockets. He let go of Neo who walked towards Mira.

"Let's go." He told her as she growled lowly glaring at undead Azael as Neo pulled her along. "Understood." Theo said as he clenched his fist. He moved towards the door with Neo and Mira in front of him. Azael growled at Theo who looked at him as Mira followed growling at him. Neo turned to her glaring as she looked away whimpering, her eyes not glowing as the veins disappeared from her head. "Pay attention." Noah said as he cut his wrist causing Azael to turn to him.

Noah dashed towards him as Azael swiped his hand. He ducked under his hand dropping the knife at the same time. "I'm your opponent." Noah said as he raised his hand that he cut allowing blood tendrils to attack Azael going through his hands pinning him to the ground. Noah wobbled slightly as he heared his PCA beep. 'I thought I turned off the sound function... Did it rest on it's own?' Noah thought as he stood up and walked closer to Azael who was pinned on the ground.

He created another tendril before he threw it to Azael's head completely smashing it. "Your attention should be on this door, not over there." Neo told Theo somehow knowing he was looking at Noah and Azael without turning to look. "Sorry." Theo replied as he followed Neo. "That should be enough." Noah replied as he stared at Azael's unmoving body. 'Was I overthinking it? He was acting as if he was a-' Noah thought as his eyes widened.
