Chapter 12

Nobody's P.O.V
"Why are we babysitting your brother on our date?" Axel asked as he looked in the direction of his girlfriend's baby brother. "My parents wouldn't let me go if I didn't take him along. They're out of town and they didn't want him to home by himself. " Esther replied looking in the same direction as Axel with a blank look. "This is the worst date ever." Axel told her. "You aren't the one with a useless brother, Axel. It's not like I want to look after him either." was her response to his statement.

As they said this Esther's brother looked behind him and stood there shocked. "Hey sis." her brother called out to her. "What now, Ellios." she said with aggressiveness in her voice. Not replying he looked at the sun that was being covered with a black moon. "Mom, the sun is being eaten--" a little girl said as she looked up at the sun before her eyes were covered by her mom. "Eri, don't look directly at the sun." Her mom told her child after covering her eyes. "Why? I feel fine though." The child replied as her mom looked at her in confusion.

"Huh...?" The lady question lost by what her daughter had said. "A solar eclipse?! How did I never heard that there would be a solar eclipse today?" Esther said before she  before she heard someone fall. "Ellios?" She called out to him as she looked towards where he was before only to find him laying on the floor. Suddenly everyone around began to pass out landing in different areas. "Axel!!" she shouted as she saw him falling backwards behind her. "Huh...? What's...going...on?" She said before she passed out on the floor.

'Attention all patrons, this is an emergency announcement. We've gone into immediate lockdown procedure. Please follow all directions of law enforcement and security personnel.'

Esther began to wake up slowly and saw her little brother Ellios in front of her. "Huh?" she asked in confusion. "Sis! Sis, get up! We gotta run!" Ellios shouted towards her sister who stood up with the help of Axel. As they began to walk away, Esther looked back and saw a horde of undead walking and the announcement playing in the background.

'Attention all patrons, this is an emergency announcement. We've gone into immediate lockdown procedure.'

As everyone began running to exit the mall, Tia suddenly tripped in her high heels shoes. "Ah!" she shouted surprise. "Tia, are you okay?" Mrs. Barron asked the red haired lady. "What's wrong? Hurry, we can't delay." Theo told Tia who lagged behind taking off her high heels shoes. "I got it, alright! I won't slow you all down. High heels are such a pain..." Tia said as she successfully took off her shoes.

A zombie appeared in their path and Azael cut its arm while stabbing it in the head. "Azael! Don't go off on your own like that!" Wyn shouted at Azael as well as worried about him. "Someone has to get rid of this one. It was in our path." Azael said as the knife was still stuck in the undead head as he looked back to Wyn. "That's fine and all. But did you make sure it was dead-dead? Stabbing the head generally isn't enough to-?" Wyn said but was cut off by the undead moving.

"Hey, why did we stop?" Theo asked Wyn who was in front of him. "There was a zombie in out path. I think Azael got it now." Wyn said as Theo's brother looked back at him with a smile. "Everything's under control. We can move forward now. Took me a bit to immobilize it. These things are resilient." He told his brother as he stood over the zombie unmoving body. "It's fine if we need to go around. Next time just avoid it. We still aren't sure the exact way to kill these things yet. It's not worth the risk." Theo told his brother worried for his well-being. "Got it, bro." Azael said as he covered his arm with his shirt sleeve.

Noah's P.O.V
'We managed to make it to the second floor in peace. Just one more and we should be able to get out of here.' I thought as I coughed a bit from running. "Sir, how are you feeling?" Li asked as she stood behind me. "I'm fine. Don't worry. I just haven't gotten used to the excessive acting yet. But it's fine, really. It's only a bit of running. We're almost out of here." I told Li as I touched my PCA.
