Nico's POV

Nyx? Monsters from Tartarus? Shoot, we've fought the freakin' Gaia herself! What else could be worse?

"Will you give us transportation to get to San Francisco?" Asked Jason.

"Here," said Hermes handing each of us a pair of winged shoes. We put them on.

"Here's my gift," Apollo said handing each of us a golden ball twice the size of a regular marble. "Throw 'em up!"

We threw them and when they landed on our hands, they've transformed into 2feet long spears with a golden sun for a tip.

"They can shoot out the powers of the sun, disintegrating whatever it touches. It's made out of Celestial bronze, imperial gold, and stygian iron mixed together. The tip is also magical and when you touch it, it can transform to anything you like," explained Apollo.

We said our thanks, transformed the spears back, cried 'Maia!' and flew off to San Francisco.

After two hours of flying, we finally reached the Golden Gate. We landed there and started walking on foot until we caught up a taxi. We rode the taxi to the base of Mount Tam.

About half an hour after we set off Jason started talking. "Hey, d'you think we're ever gonna break the code?"

"Are you kidding? This is us you're talking about! Children of the Big Three! You think a code can stop us?" Percy said.

"Children of the Big Three huh? Its so rare to torture kids like you," said the taxi driver.

He pressed a button and steel shutters came down, blocking the windows. The doors were double locked as the driver started to transform.

When the transformation was done, the taxi driver was gone and a three-headed monster with one head of lion, one of a snake, and another of a goat, lion claws in front and goat legs behind, and a long snake tail sat at his place.

It swerved the taxi to the left and slammed on the brakes. He pushed another button and ropes lunged to tie us three to the seats. The ropes turned to steel and the Chimera looked at us with full fury and eagerness to kill us.

"It's been a long time since I've been given the chance to destroy your kind," said the Chimera, "Especially to destroy the sons of Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades at the same time."

I looked at Percy and saw him clenching his fists with rage. Jason was calm but fury was swirling inside him. I was furious myself, how dare this monster trap us!

Through my rage, black aura swirled around me. The power of fear. The chimera looked at me with pure horror. The aura of fear weakened the steel cords and we snapped them open.

Percy uncapped Riptide and slashed it at the Chimera but it ducked and Percy only decapitated the head rest of the taxi.

The Chimera leaped out of the front glass, shattering it to pieces. Oddly, the Chimera waved its paw and steel shutters closed the glass frame. It trapped us in!

We have no idea how to get out until Jason said, "Guys, I know how to get us out but prepare yourselves."

On that cheerful note cocoons of air similar to the ones in the gas station enveloped us and I could see that the air  outside of the cocoons started to be pressured.

Jason (inside of the cocoon) clenched his fist harder and harder. I knew directly that if the cocoon released me now, I would instantly die.

After clenching his fist with all his might, Jason mouthed the words "here goes nothing" at us and released his hand as the taxi cab exploded and we were thrown miles into the air.

We landed safely thanks to the cocoon and saw the Chimera staring with awe at the explosion.

Jason calmly walked up to him with his sword drawn and held its lion throat.

"You missed one detail beast! I'm not a son of Zeus, I'm a son of Jupiter!"

With that he threw the monster to the ground and clenched his fist again. The air around the monster pressurized and it screamed at the top of its lung. Jason released again and the Chimera exploded leaving only golden dust.

"Come on guys, think its time for dinner." Said Percy.
