Jonah better take back that thought because this wasn't easy. Every time Emily told somone her story they would laugh at it and walk away like it was made up. She was running out of patience. "Hey it's okay Em it's not any easier for the rest of us. It's harder for them to understand because of what they were raised to believe. We're not the only Christians persecuted. What about Paul? And what about the missionaries in places where Christianity is forbiden?" Jonah said to Emily the third night when she started taking her frustration out on others. "Your right Emily sayed sitting down on her bed." I'm just so confused what I'm supposed to do." Emily said puttin her head in her hands. "Keep telling your story and don't give into the frustration." Jonah replied
"Jonah, thank you I don't know what I would do if you weren't here." "I don't know what I what I would do without you Em." "What do you mean? I'm not giving you advice or helping you calm down." "In a way you are. You being here and telling your story inspires me Em. If I were you I wouldn't have told anyone not even the Church, probably not you, because I would be to ashamed to tell anyone." Jonah said."At first I was but it was God who put it on my heart to share it I wouldn't have done it on my own." Emily said. "And I wouldn't have given you advice on my own. Your sorda scarry when your frustrated." Jonah said and started laughing till Emily hit him with a pillow. "Oh so that's how it's gona be huh?" Jonah said grabbing a pillow and hitting Emily with it. "PILLOW FIGHT!!!!" One person called and the whole youth group joined in.
"Come on let's get out of here before we get blamed." Jonah said pulling Emily out of the complex they were staying at. "You know we still are going to get blamed right?" Emily said still laughing. "Yeah but I also thought it was a good excuse to get you out of the complex for a little you and me time." Jonah sayed with a twinkle in his eye. "What are you up to?" Emily asked. "What do you mean." Jonah replied his smile growing bigger. "You have that twinkle in your eye that you get whenever your up to something." "Well I planned a suprise and the random pillow fight just happened to play in." "Oh is that so, may I ask what the suprise is?" Emily asked becoming even more suspicious. "Nope." Jonah said as he started to walk. "We can't be away from the comple..." "Already asked and got approval." Jonah said stopping to reach out his hand to her. "Do you trust me?" He asked. "always." Emily said putting her hand in his.
As they walked to the back of the complex Emily could hear music. "What is the music for?" Emily asked as they turned the corner and saw some people playing instruments. "Well since on our first date you had cruches and couldn't dance so I asked these fine people to play music while we dance to it." Jonah said proudly. "Soooooooo what do you think." Jonah asked. "I think this is the sweetest thing anybody has ever done for me!" Emily said hugging Jonah. "But I can't dance." Emily said pulling back. "That's okay I'll teach you." "Oh and since when did you learn to dance?" Emily asked. "Last week I took dancing lessons with my mom. Jelous?" Jonah asked. "Maybe a little." Emily said smiling.
..........................................................................
Jonah and Emily danced for what seemed like hours and by the end Jonah had fully bruised feet. "I told you I couldn't dance." Emily said apoligetically as the walke in the complex. " It's fine Em. It was fun plus purple is my favorite color." "No it's not." "Yeah you caught me." they both laughed but the laughter ended quickly.
"Where have you guys been!" Catherine said crying as she gave them hugs."What do you mean I told Pastor Rob that we were going to be out back." Jonah said confused."Pastor Rob...." FCatherine said through tears."Was bitten by apoiseness snake well out doing rounds and.... they don't think..." That was all she had to say. Emily fell down and cried so hard she couldn't understand anyone around her. She knew Jonah was trying to comfort her and she knew she should comfort her but Pastor Rob was like a second father to her. Why? The perfect night had turned into a nightmare.
