"I'm so proud of you!" Pastor Rob said to Pedro after his babtism. "Well it means a lot to me that you were able to babtize me." Pedro said with a smile so big you could've put it in the world records book. "So have you told your family yet?" Emily asked as she gave Pedro a hug for the tenth time. "No, but I will in the morning. I want tonight to be happy not sad." Pedro said his smile getting a bit smaller. "Then it will be." Emily said with determination to help make this the best night of Pedro's life. "Hey Jonah an you come over here for a sec?" "Yeah I'll be right over." Jonah replied.

"How did you know these musicians?" Pedro asked."Well that's a question for Jonah." Emily said smiling. Emily had asked Jonah to see if the musicians who had played for them because she knew Pedro loved music and the musicians had been more then happy. 

"Thank you." Pedro said randomly. "For what?" Emily asked confused. "For not giving up on me when I gave up on myself." Pedro said. "Pedro, when I was saved I told somone those exact words and you know what he said to me?" Emily said looking at Jonah. "What did Jonah say?" said Pedro smiling. Emily smiled back. "He said it's not me you should thank, thank yourself. If you had given up on yourself you wouldn't be standing here right now." "Wow." was all Pedro could say. "Yeah, Wow." Emily said.

"Where is Pedro I asked him last night if he was going to be here today and he said he was." Emily said starting to worry. "I'm sure he's fine." Jonah said trying, but failing, to comfort Emily. "Do you want to walk to his house to see if he's there, maybe he forgot." Jonah said. "Yeah." Emily acted like she agreed with Jonah about Pedro forgetting but she knew that wasn't it. How had his family reacted when he had told them? Had he told them? Was he telling them right now?

"Em, seriously, if you don't stop mumbling we are seriously going to....." Jonah said as they were about to turn the last corner to Pedro's house. "What Jonah?" Emily asked looking up. Then she saw what she should've smelled and seen earlier, smoke, and it was coming directly from Pedro's house.
