"Em you can't believe the news I just got." said Jonah excitedly. "Pastor Rob is fully recovered!" "I don't believe you said Emily. "Why?" Jonah asked confused. "Because you told I can't believe the news you just got." Emily said laughing. "Oh you think your so funny huh." Jonah picked Emily up and started to  spin her around. "Well I am." Emily now laughing so hard her sides hurt.

That night the youth group had a party to celebrate Pastor Robs recovery and the people they had help lead to Christ. In one week twenty people had been saved and they had almost two whole weeks left! During the time those twenty people had been led to Christ there was on individual who stuck out to Emily and almost reminded her of herself. He was a fifteen year old boy named Pedro who was angry at the world and at God but didn't really understand why. Emily told him her story but he still didn't want to listen and then during the party Emily reached into her jeans and found a piece of paper she thought she had lost forever.

"What is it?" asked Jonah. "The day I ran away and got into the car crash I ripped a page out of my Bible and I guesse its been in my jeans ever since but it doesn't look like it's been run throught the wash." Emily said confused. "It's one of God's miracles at work." Jonah said. "What scripture he asked."John 3..." "What is it" Jonah asked. "Maybe God kept this safe in my pocket for six months because these are the verses he wanted me to share with Pedro." Emily said getting excited. "You know what I'm proud of you." Jonah said. "For what?" "Sticking with this kid all the way though he might bring back some memories you don't want to remember. I wish I had stuck by you." Jonah said looking at his now brown green feet. "But you did what you could Jonah. My situation was different I had the rescources I needed to make that choice on my own while Pedro has NO BODY to guide him in his faith." Emily said. "Did I ever tell you how lucky I am to have you as my girlfriend?" Jonah asked now also smiling.

                                                                ......................................................

"Hey Pedro can Ishow you something real quick?" Emily asked running up to Pedro."Yeah sure not like I have anything better to do." Pedro said in his, as usual, sarcastic attitude. "Here." Emily handed him the page from her Bible as they sat down. "Read verses sixteen through seventeen of chapter three." Emily said.

"Whatever you say boss. "For God so loved the worl that he gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him." Is that all you want?" asked Pedro. "No, you know it's not. What do you think it means?" Emily asked. "I think it means your wasting my time." Pedro said standing up. "SIT DOWN!" Emily said calmly but strictly. "I think it means that God loved me so much, loved YOU so much that he sent His only son to die the penalty for OUR sin not His but OURS." Emily said.

"Good talk." Pedro said standing up. "You know I'm not going to stop bugging you right? I'll just keep bringing more verses and more stories about becoming a Christian or being a Christian until you say yes and mean it right?" Emily said following Pedro."Yes i do but I don't care all your doing is embarrasing yourself." Pedro said. Emily stopped. "No Pedro, you embarrassing yourself." "Hey Em we got to go!" Jonah called. "Be there in a second!" Emily called back. "If you ever need to ask any questions Pedro you know where to find me." Emily said walking away yet again without progress or was there progress? She really didn't know.

                                                        ............................................................

"So how did it go?" Jonah asked as they were walking back to the complex. "I don't know. One day he seems interested and then the next he'll seem completly against it and I might have said something I shouldn't have." Emily replied "and what was that?" Bobby asked as he and Catherine joined them. "Well he told me I was embarrasing myself the I told him that he was embarrasing himself." Emily said looking at her feet. "I think your right. What do you think Jonah?" Catherine said. "I think if I wasn't a Christian and wasn't on a mission trip that guy would have a black eye by now." Jonah replied. "Jonah." Emily said holding back a smile. "serious answers." "That was serious!" Jonah replieddefensivley. "But I also think it was okay that you replied in that way." Jonah replied. "I also know if you had told me that a couple months ago before I was saved that it would've cought my attention for sure." Bobby said. "Thanks guys that means a lot." Emily said and then said a silent prayer in her mind that she would be able to bring Pedro to Christ by the end of this trip.
