Y/N POV
You both stop in a frozen lake surrounded by tall dark oak tress that was dripping icicles from each branch. Despite the cold and icy air, it was rather a beautiful sight.
"Is this what cold feels like?! It feels like hell but its a cold waste land!" Amber exclaimed rubbing her arms, slightly shivering. You two could probably see your breath every time you breath due to the frigid air.
"This cold is nothing to the cold of winter that's why we have to test your charm." You said pushing a log out of the way.
"But I can't control it properly without my crystal that you fucking broke." You turn around to see her crossing her arms and panting slowly.
"That's why we're here Amber. To teach you how to control it. Trust me it's easier than you think, since you'll have me to teach you cause I learned mine the hard way. I almost died the last time too." You mumbled the last part not to scare her.
"What was that?"
"Nothing! A-anyway let's start!" You said taking your floating crystal. "why do we need that thing?" You place it down and dust the snow out of your clothes.
"Well, we have to use the basics first like falling. When you fall you have to make yourself levitate so you won't take fall damage or die from it. Like when you float using your staff." You said motioning her to stand on the crystal with you.
"Are you sure this is safe?" She said nervously looking at the crystal she's standing on "Of course it is! Last time I did this I used a ravine filled with lava and mobs so you'll definitely be fine." You then began to steer the crystal upwards as she tightened the grip on your shoulders. It was like Amber to be afraid of heights but because of the cold, she was terrified. You stop 14 blocks high in the frigid air.
"Okay, you can let go of me now." She hesitantly let go of your shoulder "You know you can just make me a new crystal right?"
"Yeah but where's the fun in that?" Her eyes widen. She was about to yell at you but you stopped her.
"The first thing you need to do is concentrate and focus all the heat in one spot." You explained. "How do I do that?" She asked like curious little child "For example, if you want to float down, you have to focus all the energy in one spot like your feet. If you want to land safely you have to concentrate and don't loose any focus whatsoever, Alright?" She nodded.
'if this fails, I will have to pull the rope." She looked at you, confused.
"What rope?"
"this rope." You said tying the rope on her waist. "this seems like a terrible plan." You laughed "Don't worry Amber, I've got it under control because this isn't the worst plan I have come up with." You weren't really great with plans but it turned out fine in the end... well most of them...
She positioned herself and You can see her eyes glow but barely because of the cold.
"You ready?" She nodded in response. You then harshly push her and she falls. You hold the rope in case she fails. She was still falling pretty fast. Shit, at this rate she'll be an Ember pancake.

You pull on the rope. But suddenly the weight began to get lighter. You sigh in relief "That's it Amber!" You look down at her. She was floating.
"Fuck! Yes! Look I did it!" She said looking up to you but as soon as she said that she fell. You laughed your ass off.
"DON'T FUCKING LAUGH AT ME YOU LITTLE BITCH!" You laughed harder. You stopped when you felt something got tugged causing you to lose balance and fall. "Fuck!" You cursed and immediately steer the crystal towards you feet. You sighed in relief. That was close....
You look up to see Amber laughing. "Who's laughing now?" She mocked. You give her a death glare and she stops "Sorry..." she mumbled. You chuckle and let yourself relax laying on the crystal.
"You do know because of this, I'm going to make it hard for you right?" You said flatly but jokingly.
"Wait-Y/n let's talk about this..." She played along." you stood up and smiled smugly "Run Amber..." You said in a deep voice.
