Hobbling up the stairs was utter agony. Maya could feel the bullet shifting around in her abdomen, and thanks to her ability to heal at a way above average speed, the wound was fully healed, sealing the bullet in her. Bucky's metal arm took most of her weight as she struggled to up the last couple of steps to Sharon's door. With a simple click, the door swung open. Maya was first through it, rushed towards the closest table and placed atop it with a scream.

"I'm hosting clients in an hour so this better be cleaned up fast," Sharon urged, grapping a medical kit from a cupboard.

Bucky nodded taking it from her and beginning to search for the bullet wound. "There's no wound," he breathed in shock.

"No, its healed over already, sealing...it in... me," Maya managed to get out through waves of pain. Lifting her arm she grabbed Bucky's placing his finger atop the bullet so he could feel it. "Right there, you have to cut it out."

His eyes went wide. "Shit! What's the strongest alcohol you have, Sharon?" Without a word Sharon disappeared into another room and came out with a bottle of Absinthe. "That should do the job," Bucky exclaimed. "You sure you don't want anaesthetic?"

"I don't have any, and no one will help her after everything that just happened," Sharon explained.

"It's okay," Maya took the bottle from Sharon. "I've been through worse." She unscrewed the lid and downed half the bottle placing it on the stool next to the table she was lying on. "Not how I thought my night would be going."

"You're going to have to take your top off for me to get a clean cut," Bucky said.

"Fuck, okay. Can I have a hand?" Maya asked. With a nod Bucky helped ease her arms out of her sleeves and remove the feathered bodice, leaving her in her bra. Taking a seat again, he picked up the scalpel and placed its cool metal onto her stomach, asking Maya for the go ahead with his eyes. She gave a slight nod of her head.

It was like being back with HYDRA. The torment of pain tracing it fingers across her skin, delighting in her screams and thrashing. Her eyes never left Bucky's face as she felt torture consume her body, seep into her very being as she bled out onto the table and floor.

"There's internal bleeding from the bullet. I'll have to stitch you up once I've gotten it out," Bucky calmly said as he reached for tweezers.

"No, just get the bullet out and my body will fix itself," Maya stated through gritted teeth. "Just get it out." Her eyes were wide with panic. Bucky removed the bullet swiftly, noting that it was fully intact. Maya could feel her body sewing itself back together now that the foreign object had been removed. They all watched on it awe as the incision Bucky had made closed itself, leaving Maya perfectly healthy, but rather tipsy.

"Well, that solves that problem," Sharon said letting out a breath. "Clients will be here in half an hour. You guys are more than welcome to stay for the party, I'll just have to see what I have for you to wear." She walked up a flight of stairs leading further into her apartment.

"How are you feeling?" Bucky asked, eyebrows almost touching together with concern.

"Better, a lot better." Maya sat up, reaching for the top half of her suit. She swayed, world spinning around her. "Woah," she warned, holding onto Bucky's arm for support. "I think I'm drunk." A flitter of a giggle escaped her mouth. "No, I am drunk."

"Maybe you shouldn't attend the party then. Hang back here," Sam urged.

"Oh its fine, dad," Maya joked stumbling her way towards him. "I process alcomahol a little faser then you normal hoomans." She stumbled over her words, finishing the sentence off with a hiccup, followed by a little laugh.
