A/n: don't come for me, I'm shit at titles! 😫 also the first part of this is basically all dialogue between you and Gowther. Also
⚠️TW⚠️ heavy gore

The bulk of you sit in the tavern with hangovers except for you of course, thanks to your unique circumstances. Oh, and Gowther because he didn't drink. Speaking of whom, he walks right up to you and sits down.

"Your input was very helpful the other day, may I ask you another question?"

"Shoot."

"... shoot what?" The pulls back the invisible bow and a pink light arrow appears.

"Oh sorry, that's a figure of speech. It means go ahead." 'Is this guy for real?' You think amusedly as he just jumps right into the topic.

"During the scuffle you had with those holy knights in Visle. Ban mentioned how you elicited quite a panic amongst him and the others after forgetting a pretty integral part of your genealogy. How is it you could have forgotten to mention something so important to your survival?"

"I'll answer your question in a second, but I'm curious on how you knew about that?"

"Well I was wondering how you ended up with the seven deadly sins, given our reputation I thought it would be difficult to except so quickly. So I asked the Captain, he mentioned yours and Bans shared past so I asked Ban himself. How ever he was quite intoxicated and got quite off topic. That's when he complained about your grave blunder."

"Got it. Well as for your question, humans are flawed by nature, actually most living organisms are but that's besides the point. Sometimes things just slip your mind no matter how important they are to you or your safety. Especially when you're in a high stress situation and your mind is occupied with other things." He blinks and looks off to the side a little, like he's thinking. Then he gets up to walk away without another word. You smile to yourself at the odd interaction, some of his mannerisms are quite endearing.

Meliodas sets his drink down on the table quite loudly to gain attention, and it works. "Alright, first order of business. I'm getting my sword back before all else. Who's with me?"

"Pass."

"Nah."

"It was kinda your own fault."

"He's right."

You, Ban, King, and Gowther sound off in order. Meliodas ends up on the ground face down. "I'm so sad."

Elizabeth crouches down beside him and pats his head. "There, there."

Diane gets too excited and pushes her head through the window. "I'll help captain!!. Oops."

Meliodas eventually gets up and starts fixing the window, as he does he tells us about his sword hilt and how important it is to get it back. Elizabeth and Hawk discus what it is Hendrickson could want from the demon race.

They're talking about if it's possible that the demons have already been resurrected but Meliodas reassures you all that there would have been a sign. But as they speak some woman appears in a freaky mask.

"Oh, that's easy, you see she's the last piece of the puzzle that we need to break the seal." You clench the edge of the table you're sitting at and leap into action.

"Shit! Quickly get away from her!" He leaps over the table to try to get her.

You're almost to them when a circle around them lights up, and before you can touch any of them they're gone. You tuck and roll as to not hit your head on the door.

"FUUUCK!"
"DAAMMIIIT!"

The both of you shriek but for very different reasons. You lay on the ground cradling your arm, breaths coming out ragged. It's gone, right from the middle of your fore arm is gone. Meliodas sprints to get his sword then out the door. When the others go to tend to you, you wave them off. "It's fine, I just need to moult." With your remaining hand you reach into your bag and grab a smaller bag with a draw string. You smack it down on a table. "Put my heart and about two mugs worth of my ashes in there and pour it out after about two minutes." You got around the corner and set your bag on the ground. Stripping your clothes off you shove them haphazardly into your bag, throwing it to where they can see you point with your only hand. "Don't forget that, it has my clothes in it." You exhale and feel the warmth over take you, and lull you into a comfortable state of darkness.
