Liam sighed deeply and blinked blankly at the interviewer as she asked another mindless and unoriginal question. It was always the same thing. The same damn questions and laughs, everything was all the same.
He was so tired of it.
Liam couldn't help but let his mind wander to Ash, and how she was doing. Had she been waiting long? Subtly glancing at the watch around his wrist, he mentally groaned. It'd been too long, over an hour past the time they were supposed to be finished. Apparantely there were some 'technical' difficulties, so the interviewers had plenty more time to drill the boys on rumours and questions.
But soon Liam was rejoicing because the interview finally ended. And he was out of there before any of the other boys could pull him back. It was then that he decided to himself, all of this would change.
He'd had enough of this life, he was tired of it. All of the same drills and repetitions left Liam feeling like he was getting nowhere. That was it.
He was going to go somewhere, somewhere far away. He'd move. Yes that's it, he' move someplace beautiful and happy, someplace where he'd feel at home.
But soon one thought made all of his dreams come to a halt. Ash.
What would he do? Bring her along? Surely. There was no way Liam was going to ditch Ash and break her apart as he sent her to the street. He cringed just at the thought of leaving her behind.
Liam knew she could handle herself on her own, but the mere thought of Ash on the streets again just urked him to the very core. It hurt so much to see her in pain
At this point, Liam had made it to the car, with a sleepy Harry mumbling incoherent things under his breath following close behind. As they both stumbled into the car, Liam sighed shakily and turned to Harry.
"Harry? Can I ask you something?" He said slowly. Harry nodded and turned towards Liam, his eyes already half closed. "What would you think about moving?"
Harry frowned slightly and chuckled as he pinched the bridge of his nose. "What do you mean?"
"You know, move. Get away from the place we've been for years. Go somewhere new and far away." Liam said dreamily.
"And move away from the boys? Hell no. Do you know how much trouble we'd get in? Our arses would practically be kicked back here."
"Just hear me out though! We'd live on a beach somewhere, with the nice cool breeze, just imagine being able to go anywhere you liked whenever you wanted without being mobbed? Imagine being able to settle down with a nice girl, popping out a few kids, and enjoying the high life?" Liam said, sighing with a dreamy expression.
Harry huffed and gave him a small smile. "Don't tempt me."
"Oh but Harry wouldn't it just be amazing?" Liam gasped. Harry smiled lightly, staying silent a moment to just think of it.
"You're right, it would be amazing but in case you've forgotten we're still part of One Direction. And if you have the same intentions as me, I'm not planning on ditching my mates anytime soon," Harry sighed sleepily, scooting further down into his seat.
Liam pursed his lips and nodded slowly, turning away to start the car.
Maybe Harry was right, maybe that wasn't the life for them. Sadly putting the car into drive, Liam started down the road and tried to forget the sudden crazy dream.
Pretty soon they grew only minutes away from home.
Liam drummed his fingers against the steering wheel nervously. He couldn't help but feel as if something had gone wrong with Ash. Harry seemed to sense nothing, already fallen asleep in the back seat of the car. Liam feverishly looked at the small radio, checking the time. Already two in the afternoon. Scowling, he ran a hand over his head and tried to think of something else the rest of the drive home.
