"Li?" Ash called softly, drifting down the stairs with her dress flowing behind her. "Liam?"
People were laughing and chattering downstairs, filling the place with a loud buzz. Ed was following close behind her, and as soon as she shifted away from the stairs Ed waved his goodbye and gave Ash a wink before retreating to the kitchen to find Niall.
Suddenly, Ash caught the gaze of familiar chocolaty brown eyes and she almost swooned on the spot. It was Liam, with the most beautiful smile across his face. He was leant up against the wall next to the glass door leading to outside, his hands dug into the pockets of his jeans. Smirking, Liam watched Ash look at him with an entranced gaze before he simply shrugged away from the wall and went outside, not breaking their gaze until he walked away from view.
Gasping, Ash quickly rushed towards outside, squeezing past the several people blocking her path. Carefully opening the door, Ash looked out to see Liam standing there.
"Liam-"
"Shh. Let's dance," Liam shushed her, a smirk rising on his face.
"What?" Ash replied almost immediately, her eyes widening at his statement.
"C'mon you heard me! Let's go. Right now."
"Liam, no, no, no!" Ash hissed, whipped her head back and forth to see if anyone was watcing. Her eyes darted to his face just in time as he threw his head back and let out a loud cackle of laughter. Ash felt like melting right there on the spot. There was a lot of things about Liam that made her want to collapse to her feet, but his laugh was the one of few things that made her heart want to fly out of her chest.
"Why not? Scared?" Liam giggled, a cheeky grin growing on his pink tinted cheeks "Don't worry, I've gotcha."
"No, it's not that, Li!" Ash groaned, a roll of helpless giggles preventing her sentence from sounding serious. Liam continued to tug her along, before he stopped. Ash took a moment to look around, her eyes lighting up just at the sight. Candles were spread across a terrace, dimly lighting the place perfectly. The starry night sky was set beautifully over the sparkling city lights making everything seem ever more magical.
The couches and chairs were moved aside, clearing a space that Liam then pulled Ash towards ever so slowly, her heels clicking against the wooden flooring. Ash was relieved that no one was nearby, leaving the place to just the two of them.
And also, to her surprise a beautiful slow dance song was playing from a small radio on a table next to a couch swing.
(Song they dance to on the side---->)
"Liam, w-what is this?" Ash questioned breathlessly. He giggled softly and slipped his hand from hers, making Ash wince at the sudden loss of contact. She looked towards him, eyes sparkling and mouth slightly parted in amazement.
"We're gonna have to get a little closer," Liam stated softly, slinging his arm around Ash's waist and holding her there close to his chest. Ash continued to stare up into his eyes, not daring to glance away. Slowly she slipped her hand into his and placed the other onto his shoulder.
"Liam," She whispered softly, her voice barely on the edge of cracking.
"Trust me," Liam smiled shakily, tearing his eyes away from her gorgeous green ones to stare at his shoes, making sure he wasn't about to step on her.
Slowly, he looked back up and brought Ash over in one simple motion, leading each them both to circle around the terrace.
"I never noticed how beautiful you looked under the moonlight," Liam admired breathlessly.
