Chapter 26.

This is it.

Ash let out the most scared sigh she had in quite awhile. Her hands were tightly wrapped around a bouqet of flowers, gripping the stems so tightly she hoped they wouldn't grow limp under her fingers.

Her green eyes were piercing, due to the black mascara that brung out her eyes beautifully. The red hair that usually would've tumbled down her shoulders was now pinned up into a bun, with a few curls framing the sides of her face.

"Ash," Geoff whispered, resting a hand on her shoulder. She gasped, pulling a small tearful smile back at him before turning and staring at the double doors before her.

"Everything'll be alright. This is your big day, remember?" Geoff smiled. Ash nodded, wringing the flower stems in her hands until Geoff slung his arm over hers. 

"Remember what I told you at the hospital?" Geoff smiled. "How no matter what happens, you gotta stay strong? This is one of those moments. This is the moment where everything seems so scary, but once you face it, it can suddenly becomes the best moment of your life."

She stopped fidgeting a moment and looked up at Geoff. "Thank you," Ash whispered, smiling at him happily. "I really mean it." And she did. Geoff inspired her on many level. Ash heard the music start to play in the distance, making the butterflies in her stomach start to tumble.

"Ready?" Geoff whispered, giving Ashs arm a soft squeeze. She nodded slowly in response.

"Ready."

The doors opened, revealing bright sunshine that bathed the entire park with a glistening glow. White chairs were lined up along the grass, and seated upon them were many smiling faces. Most of them, ones that Ash recognized.  

As her eyes drifted towards Liam, an innocent grin played on her lips. Her bright and innocent green orbs lit up just at the sight of him. 

And with one last confident breath, Ash took her first step forward into the moment she'd cherish forever, the life that she'd dreamed of for so long.

Liam stared at her.

He stared at the way her white beaded dress flew so beautifully over her legs. He stared at her blushed pink cheeks, and her green eyes that were drifted down, too shy to look up. But when she did and their eyes met, they sparkled with confidence, happiness.

She looked so beautiful, so effortless.

Ash had Geoff slung around her left arm, for she had no father of her own to accompany her. At this, Liam nearly cringed until he remembered that today he had no time to be fearful. This was their day, and no one could take that away from them.

This was his wife to be, this was the very woman he was to marry. That red headed guitar player he saw on the streets that one night, yep that was her.

The girl that was so heart broken and fearful and scared had blossomed into a beautiful flower, one that was confident and...happy again.

Liam bit his lip and took a step forward, holding out his hand to Ash as she stepped up with him. He noticed her incredibly soft hands, were shaking. He smiled and gave them a small squeeze. Geoff sat down, and watched with what looked to be tears lining his eyes.
