"I hereby declare that Sophie Elizabeth Foster-Ruewen is banished from the Lost Cities until further notice," Councilor Emery's voice boomed, echoing.
'No. No, no. This can't be happening. It can't.' I thought to myself, unable to defend that I was innocent.
"She did nothing wrong! She was protecting the Lost Cities, and it worked! The Neverseen is defeated and in your custody! Foster saved you. You can't just banish her!" Keefe defended me.
"I'm sorry Mr. Sencen, but Mrs. Foster acted without orders, defied the council, and harmed many innocents," he said, gesturing to all the bandages and casts on the council,"Plus, the Blackswan created her to rid the Lost Cities of evil, and now it's gone. There is no use of her anymore."
The Black Swan and my friends bursted into arguing, and I wanted to join but I just stood there, frozen, waiting for my fate to be sealed.
"None of that. The council has spoken. Now off with her," Emery demanded.
Two elves came up behind me, seizing my arms, pulling me away. I resisted at first, then immediately regretted it when they put a rough cloth coated in a sickly sweet substance to my nose and mouth. My thoughts clouded as I struggled to breath fresh air. Slowly, I slipped into darkness as I was pulled out of the door-out of the Lost Cities.
