Ding Dong, the doorbell went.
'We'll get it!" Annabeth and I shouted at the same time my mom went, "I'll get it!"
Realizing this, Annabeth proposed that we all get it.
I reached for the door knob and slowly pulled it open, revealing a lady with long red hair and a black business suit.
"Hello, I'm Laureen Dover from the Child Protective Services. I understand that you are Sally Jackson?" The lady asked kindly.
"Yes I am," My mom replied.
Laureen smiled, "Well, here's Sophie Foster." She stepped aside to reveal a small girl about two years younger than me. She had long blonde hair, and brown eyes with flecks of gold. Unfortunately, those eyes were cast down and she was hiding behind her hair. Sensing she was was a little scared, I knelt down in front of her and said,"Hey, my name's Percy. You can come in if you like," He leaned in closer and whispered, "We have cookies!"
At this, she smiled, and reluctantly stepped inside.
"Why are they blue?" Sophie asked me when they got inside.
"It's a dam family thing, you wouldn't understand," I smiled.
"LANGUAGE! Oh, d-a-m. The Hoover Dam," she acknowledged.
"How do you know about that?" Annabeth demanded.
Sophie swallowed,"Um, lucky guess?" I went to question her when I remembered Mom's words to be nice. I just nodded.

Later, I told Sophie a little about myself. Not the Demigod thing of course. She never told me anything about her, though. I understood, though, for her gold flecked eyes held the story of someone who's been through a lot.
"If only you knew..." I swear I heard Sophie say, as if she heard my thoughts.
