Not This Time

I woke up in a cold sweat. I heard  shrill screaming coming from somewhere in my house. Slowly, carefully, I stepped out of my room. The screaming seemed to be coming from Sophie's room. Careful not to wake my mom up, I stepped over to her door, and opened the door.
There she was. My adoptive sister was lying in bed, screaming and thrashing. I moved closer to her bed.
"Hey, um..." I started, not knowing how to finish it. How do you comfort someone who's screaming at the top of her lungs?
Apparently hearing my voice helped and the screams reduced into mumbling. Though, the mumbles weren't much better.
"Never seen..."
"Black swan..."
"Moonlark..."
"Lagacy..."
Sophie suddenly bolted up, hitting her forehead to my nose. I gave a small yelp as I felt warm blood trickle from my nose.
Sophie turned to me, "Don't embrace the legacy!"
Seeing who she was talking to, Sophie reddened and mumbled an apology.
I waved her off,"Don't worry, I get bad dreams all the time."
I forgot about my bloody nose, though. The blood started to drop off of my face. Quickly, I shot my hand to catch a drop.
"Not this time," I said under my breath.
I was relieved, but Sophie looked a bit woozy. 'Ah,' I thought, 'She might be one of those people who faint at the sight of blood.'
I sat down beside her and wrapped my arm around her shoulder. She saw the blood again and blacked out in my arms.
